People also have always traded the codes ingame for gold and later directly. If you look up discord groups and wow forums where people have relentlessly offered to trade and sell TCG items for gold, or simply using auction house database sites with thousands of successfull auctions tracked, you’ll see that those far outnumber the items sold for real money, especially since they cost thousands upon thousands of real money.

Lots of gold = WoW token. For most people anyway.

People investing tons of time and earned gold, in an effort to ultimately achieve their coveted TCG mount is not prestigious? By that logic we could give the Brutosaur (or any other rare, not skill based item) away via twitch drop.
That’s a route you don’t want to go down arguing, trust me.

The Brotosaur was never available for purchase outside of the game.

The TCG-items always were. In fact, until the BMAH, the ONLY way to obtain these items was to pay IRL money, or buy it ingame from someone who already paid IRL money for them.

We’re talking about sums so high that they become mere anomalies. There will always be people lost enough to cough up so much money to get ingame gold, just as there are people lost enough to pay 1000$ or more for a TCG code. Those, evidently, are not the norm or anywhere close to the majority.

It’s that saying of “people bought the ah mount via token”, or “blizzard removed it to drive up token sales due to people wanting to buy it” allover again.

Your Challange mode set can be bought outside of game for REAL MONEY also and i think it’s better to give money to blizzard when they put stuff back into the game.
I really dislike giving money to random people.
You know why? because those people set price very high and most of the time it’s over the top.
ye i know corporations very bad very greedy
but i prefer it because they keep things CHEAP

Just got this today… I had no idea it was a flying mount… That is AWESOME!
