Surge Pricing Dead?

Just tried to do the event for the quest of participating, i did 3 jobs and i was the only person in the zone doing it? Why is the zone so dead already and why did i not get credit for the quest?

m+ /pvp/raid all open this week its going to be quiet at prime time.

They need to do something with the event to make it possible to do in small groups. Seems daft that it’s no longer possible to complete.

I’ve a suspicion that the sever lag on some realms is affecting players willingness to engage with the zone.

While my realm is OK - I joined a group on AeriePeak earlier and it was almost unplayable.

Tbqh, the lag is the last reason why I am unwilling to engage with the zone :joy_cat:

I’m not knocking the quality, I just find the theme to be… well, frankly, obnoxious. If other people feel the same way, then that’s a chunk of players just will not go there.

I’m shocked that people don’t find right clicking on a garbage pile compelling content.

The garbage piles work fine. You can do them in small or large groups but the handling and shipping jobs require you to drive around and do tasks to fill the bar. The event happens at half past the hour.

It’s extremely hard to get a full bar as there are too few taking part.

This honestly feels like the game should normalise the amount of input required vs the number of players who have contributed at all to this particular event.

Setting absolute goals is and will always be a bit silly.

It’s basically why rares scale with the number of people fighting them. Non-combat events should have the same level of self-awareness.

At least if I go do the Theatre quests, sure, sometimes we get like 1000/6000 because it’s 2am in central Europe rn, but my personal contribution of 50 is done and ticked off and there’s my crate of goodies.

Hehe… but, wrong event… Surge pricing is when you want to be playing Crazy Taxi and following the Job arrows to deliver packages /kill mobs /whatever random thing it tells you to do. YouĀ“re thinking of the Scrap events which AFAIK don’t actually contribute to the SP bar…

Because the only reason OW zones feel ā€œaliveā€ at the start of each patch is because Blizzard keep gating M+ and Raids for 1-2 weeks and there is nothing else to really do. And a lot of people just see OW content as busy work.

Also from what I can gather from what I have seen on the forums these past 2 weeks, the zone itself is divisive at best.
