I m playing healer but i ve more respect&value for the tank
Specifically in a perfect group situation, Iâd still value the tank the most because they are effectively the leader of the group. They set the pace, which mobs we get etc, so I make sure to not go in front of them but stay close to them and not over pull etc. Itâs also the scariest role for me, not something Iâd want on my shoulders. Iâd rather heal.
But honestly the comments sound like people need to try the other roles too. No role is easy.
Itâs a team effort. The people that play mechanics, handle affixes, interrupt and CC, while still fulfilling their role properly, are the most valuable members.
I donât feel it can be reduced to the role. You can have a healer who blows their mana pointlessly and doesnât use their utility, a tank that has no sense of awareness and doesnât pull or position efficiently, and a dps that tunnels, doesnât interrupt and never does anything for the group.
What matters is the player, not the role.
As a healer i identify myself as the person behind the sled.
The tank is the main alpha Husky, leading the 3 other doggos ![]()

Thatâs fine, thatâs your perspective on the matter. I have been told multuple times by multiple people that Healing is the most difficult role to play, but I canât respect something I donât understand, someone might be playing a F tier healer spec and performing like an S tier and I wouldnât know the difference. Also healing is you paying a sub in order to help other people play the game, change my mind (not rly I donât care).
Every player needs the other players to play the game, no matter the role. I have played every role to ~+20 this season. For now dps is my worst and hardest role (which obviously has something to do with 10 years of healing experience and ânoneâ tanking/dpsing).
When I do affixes Iâm pretty sure the healer appreciates me the most ![]()
I donât do much M+ at all but I would say anyone that makes a run smoother. Itâs so nice when people donât just melt and make me need to unreasonably extend as a healer.
Why, yes, I do pay 13 a month to support others. Makes me happy, shrug.
Doing the gods work.
The mage that gets naked and dances on the Lion Statue in Scarlet Monastry.
Though pretty sure weâd all been drinking that nightâŚ
What do you mean not every dungeon run gets this??
4: People who are respectful, ask if they need help understanding something, do not sign up for something they are not at all prepared for or have knowledge of, and behave well towards others by doing so.
Their role has zero respect.
If I have to pick only one hummmâŚbegrudgingly, Iâm going to say the tank, strictly because.
The dungeon is not going to be possible to time, if weâre doing low level key strats/pulls the entire run and some classes are dependent on ballsy pulls to do damage etc. I feel like the route makes the difference with some dungeons especially so.
But this answer is assuming we live in an ideal world where everyone is competent, naturally.
