Survival hunter low dps on sartharion?

Hello guys,

I play a well geared SV hunter. I’m currently at 91.3% perf avg.

I’ve been doing good according to the logs in every fight except for sartharion.

My best try so far got me at 60% perf avg in the logs. Could anyone look into the logs and tell me what i’m doing wrong in this fight?

Also, how do you prevent your pet from dieing as soon as the fight start?

You can’t parse if your guild can’t zerg the boss with a full focus Sartha
And for your pet, put it in passiv and click on it before every wave

Pets are an absolute ballache, because you need to micro them to avoid wave, breaths and fissures.

Outside of that I’ve noticed that you’re not trap weaving, but as DJansoul pointed out the biggest thing is likely the kill time, where you’ll never get as good a parse, if your guild is doing the normal way.

You aren’t trap weaving so you lose some of the AoE and LnL procs.

Also are you using 434 on LnL?

I have just now learned about 434 and would like to thank you very much for that. I used to play WoW in WOTLK, quitted and came back for wotlk classic, never heard of 434 before.

I am indeed not tap weaving. I tried it once and wasn’t a great fan of the play style. I understand that trap weaving is indeed superior and i won’t get many 100%. I do have a 99 and a 98 in naxx 10.

My guild is casual and we have quite a few weak dps. Doing sarta in zerg or in one minute is simply not happening but still, 60 seems pretty low when i have an average of 91…

Maybe you can also help me with another question that i have. For some reason during Malygos vortex sometimes i can use my instant normally but sometimes i just can’t cast anything as if i was too close or too far from the boss. Do you know why?

Naxx 10 doesn’t mean much.It’s basically will you get the melee or ranged buffs(feral etc) and debuffs(sunder), without it you won’t parse good,

Pugs on Gehennas did sart 3d zerg, so it’s possible in PUGs as well.

Turn your character and spam steady shot, sometimes when u get thrown in the vortex, your back is turned to the boss, yet you can’t see it in animation. So right+left click and turn until u get casting bar for steady shot and spam steady or abilities.
