Survival Hunters Need a Damage Boost

Dear Blizzard team,

I would like to bring to your attention that the “Survival” specialization for hunters is currently at the bottom of all possible rankings. In a few days, you are planning to release a 4% damage increase, but this will not solve the problem.

Currently, this specialization can be competitive in single-target (ST) damage, but not in AOE. Many players want to play with this specialization in Mythic+, but the damage of the Survival hunter is too low. We need more AOE damage.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I’d like to see Mongoose Bite not dropping its charge, a buff to keep active.

I am trying Pack Leader, I like the changes. I wonder, how interesting Envenomed Fangs is as a Hero talent.

It did earlier in beta but the community didn’t like it. Every Mongoose Bite refreshed the timer but it only stacked up to 3 instead.
I personally disagree with a lot of the feedback they’ve received and I believe Survival as a spec would be much better if they hadn’t listened to it. Right now, Survival is a huge mess…

I am trying it out this week, if not speccing into Mongoose Bite, is 1 Hogstrider a wasted talent point ?

Not sure what you mean with stacking up to 3, but I will try out this talent today, just specced into Mongoose Bite.

I wish they rewokred Mongoose Bite though, it just does not seem to work well in M+ and I want it to work  . I personally spec into Envenomed Fangs, I use a WA to track Howl.

Is there a good WA to track Mongoose Bite or Mongoose Fury ? The ones I saw date from 2017/2018.

I wouldn’t worry too much about tracking WA. You should just have fun and try out the spec. Get some experience. It’s always better to try things out for yourself and just use guides as a reference.
Mongoose Bite works pretty well in M+, it’s just very reliant on tuning. I always use it since I think it’s a fun talent and it rewards good timing.

Next patch Blizzards own cooldown manager drops which should replace most basic uses of WA. I would just wait until that drops. But if you really want a Mongoose Bite tracker, you can easily make one by just choosing the ready made sets in WA and going:
Icon (or text if you prefer) → Buff —> Mongoose Fury.
Pretty much all you need.

Appreciate it mate. Yeah I try to not have too much things on my screen, the are mostly distracting, and I never understand how people are able to track all these things (eye balling them) during a hectic moment. I am usually not able to  . But it is a fun spec to play.

The reason I want to track Howl is, because I need to know when the bear will come, making sure I got some poison dots active. They advise the other talent, but I’m not a fan of 10% chance talents.
