Suspended / alleged gold buying

Hello, (This relates to wow seasons of discovery) I don’t want to post with my actual name on the realm as you will see why below.

Around two weeks ago I had an email saying my account was suspended for “buying gold” - knowing this wasn’t true I appealed this and asked what had happened, explained I had around 85g in total on my account and this was all accountable for via quests and AH which a GM should be able to see.

Long story short, I was shut down around 3 times, never really explained to what had happened and told the suspension would stay in place. Obviously I was furious.

Today I have finally been able to log in to see all my genuine gold removed from my account across two active characters. I go to my mailbox to see a gold seller has sent two mails totalling 250g still sat in my mailbox.

I reported both accounts today.

Why was I banned for receiving mail from a seller that has clearly mailed the wrong account?

From the point of getting this mail I had;

  1. Never even read the mail

  2. Never opened the mail

  3. Never received any actual gold (its literally still sat there)

  4. I had not even logged into my account for around 8 days

So to summarise a gold seller sends the wrong account gold, in a timeframe that I didn’t even log in for over a week, I didnt even see the mail, let alone read it or accept anything and my account is suspended.

Do you not think it would be a bit bizarre to buy gold then never log in and receive it?

Despite 3 tickets asking for help not one person has actually looked and thought oh yeah thats a bit odd its still sat in the mailbox and hasnt even been seen for over 8 days.

How can it actually be this easy to get someone banned? I had no opportunity to even read the mail to reject/report it yet I was banned.

Anyone reading this can go mail someone 200g and they get banned for it? No questions asked? It cannot be that easy, that is absolutely ridiculous.

But the crazy thing is you banned my account and still left the actual gold sitting there, unread in my mailbox? Insane…

Please can someone resolve this, look at my account and restore my genuine gold which is all accountable for… and also what happens about me losing two weeks of game time over this? It is just bonkers to me that this has happened and of all the tickets I made no one has even bothered to actually look at the facts.

You will need to reopen your ticket as bans aren’t dealt with in an open forum.
Make the ticket as short as you can and just include the facts. Hopefully it will be sorted out for you. If you still don’t get answers to all your questions, ask for it to be escalated to a manager.

The problem I am having is I have had 3 tickets closed already with a copy and paste response, its like they are not even reading the content of the ticket.

I asked in two previous tickets to tell me the formal complaint process and to escalate my ticket to a manager, every time the same copy and paste response and ticket gets marked as resolved.

I did some googling and saw people said they had much better customer service when creating a ticket and posting on here, so thought it was worth a try…

Blizzard just see that you received a lot of gold with nothing in return. If you read the terms of use you will see that Blizzard don’t actually need a reason to suspend your, well it still remains theirs, account.

Posting here does not affect your ticket.

Is the gold you lost more than the 500g you got in the mail?

One more thing, if you did GDKP runs and if the person who bought the gear bought their gold it still counts as buying gold for those who get the gold after the run.

So basically in my mailbox was 200g and 50g from two different names (I reported both this morning).

Blizzard removed around 85g from my two active chars, that’s all I’ve ever had I’ve never been over 100g

When I reported the gold in my mail this morning it essentially deletes the mail so that’s gone but I screenshotted it and sent the proof attached to my ticket.

I’ve never done GKDP ever on any account or version of the game…

My account was suspended at a time when I hadn’t even logged in because this gold was sent to my mailbox, never seen, opened or received, after the suspension expired it was literally still sat there till I’ve reported it this morning.
