I don’t play wow that often and when I do it’s always casual gameplay so I don’t see why would Blizzard think I would need to abuse their system. I’ve never seen a warning like this before and when I tried to whisper back it said “No player player name is currently playing” so my first thought was that it’s some kind of prank. However I’m not sure if it actually is a prank and I don’t want to lose my account if anyone knows what is this all about I could use advice. Here’s link to screenshot of the messege.

It’s a scam attempt. They want you to go to their website and enter the credentials so they can steal your account.
Blizzard will never contact you like that and this info is written as a hint in the loading screen, which you probably don’t read because nobody reads them.
Thank you for clarification!!
You have 24k achiev points, meaning you played this game for quite some time and you never came across scammer in wow? There was plenty of those messages untill mop id say.
To add, if you DID go to the website, even if just out of curiosity, then you need to run a full virus scan of your PC, as a lot fo them also include viruses.
If you entered any details then you need to secure your account URGENTLY by changing the password ASAP, and also change the password on any other sites where you may have reused the password.
Blizzard ban first then you have to appeal to get it removed.
Actually crazy! I have never thought anyone actually takes those whispers seriously. Esp. because the whisper is from “Bizsard” or “Bllzard”! This is why i isolate from society as much as i can. This world is doomed
These scammers are in all servers and they don`t surrender ![]()
loads of those scammers everywhere. notice the i in Blizzard was an accent letter? dead giveaway. also as stated before blizzard will NEVER contact you in such a way, you will get a notification top right next to the minimap about GM support or a response.
I don’t know if they even do that anymore, but according to their support article if a GM contacts you ingame they’ll have a tag next to their name.
Also, GMs write in blue, they never use the standard pink whisper-colour. Last I had a GM write to me, it even opened in a new window.
All in all: If you are in ANY possible way in doubt if someone’s a Blizzard employee, they are most definitely not. If Blizz contacts you in game, you can’t be in doubt.
