It’s a scam and it’s best to both report the person whispering you and then block them. Official Blizzard staff would have the Blizzard logo next to their name and they’d also have their text in blue rather than pink. Plus a Blizzard staff member would pretty much never whisper someone for a reason such as that.
No, Blizzard employees will not whisper you in game.
