Swapping Output Device in Options does nothing

Since the new patch the game does not care when I swap Output Device in the options menu.

Swapping Audio Device has been an annoyance for years with WoW, as the game audio doesn’t change when I change device in Windows, but this used to be possible to get around by simply swapping to any other device and then back to System Default. With this new patch that’s no longer possible since swapping the device doesn’t change the output while the game is running.

I often swap back and forth because when I’m on voice calls I want the audio in my headset, but when I’m not I prefer to take my headset off. I really don’t wanna have to restart the game each time for this to work.

Same issue. The button does nothing.

It started with pre-patch, seems like switching output device has no effect.
Right now, only solution is re-opening the game.

Yeah what used to be a minor irritation, having to swap the output channels in WoW AFTER changing windows default output device, is now annoying as we have no option other than to completely restart the game for it to detect the change.
