I’m afraid I’m going to have to remain sceptical on that. My personal experience in life taught me otherwise.

Ah I miss the gigantic flame war of the years 2000-2001 where the old bit of ultra violence and no holds bared where the only rule but to each epoch it’s rules, now I became a good dog reffined and polite with cutted claw and playing some track on demand, when I think I thought i had it bad tanking for others …
Sometimes the urge to swear and really show what’s on my mind does appear…
But my limited english swear words vocabulary prevents me from give blast on those, and the restrictions on this forum also gives me time to write really nasty but well articulated answers…
The time it takes me to write an answer that tells what’s on my mind and still is within the CoC, gives my brain time to cool down… And I can walk away.
I have given myself some rules on platforms regarding answering people, simply because I get a stroke and really can be unpleasant - and I don’t like that side of me.
I don’t mind we have the restrictions, if we could let loose, this place would be unbearable to visit.

I always love to think back on a certain video where some driver was being a douche and that ticked off someone, that person decided to " give him a piece of his mind " from then on it started spiraling out of control until one of them murdered the other.
Another kind of video I watched was a woman who felt belittled because the 2 male drivers with her were telling her to slow down ( there was a sharp turn coming ) but this led to that and she decided to be stubborn and ignore them which ended in a biiiiiiiiig accident.
These kind of things happen because sometimes no one wants to put a limiter on it, small conflicts can spiral out of control, and its best to give absolutely no room at all or make sure there is a limit to not hit the point of no return.
I think its in everyone’s interest that the forums be as heavily moderated imo, even though sometimes it might seem silly, but people also need to keep in mind that these forums can and do nurture some very very young and easily influenceable people.
