Hello, just as the title states, currently in-game sweeping strikes incorrectly transfers execute damage to a secondary target, every other ability, including revenge for protection transfers damage correctly, but execute is bugged.
Crit or not the damage is always transferred to the other target as something like 1.4-1.5k, and execute hits way harder than that.
Please look into this, it’s been a thing since wrath launch.
EDIT: It’s not a bug.
Sudden death is a thing, so this interaction doesn’t make sense anymore.
Not a bug. You will only get full execute damage on secondary target if that target is below 20%. No matter if your execute on primary target is a sudden death proc or a normal, below-20-percent execute. If your secondary target is above 20%, your execute will trigger a normal swing damage.
It has been like that since classic series release.
You are correct, i’ve played around sweeping strikes + execute a bit, and there were instances where the damage did go through, this confirms it.
However, it might need a change regardless… since sudden death is a thing now.
Charging into a pack and pressing sweeping strikes and getting a sudden death proc, and then hold off from using the same proc because you know all mobs are full hp is just bad.
It makes sense how this interaction is, because execute was only usable at 20% before, but now i think it needs a change.
Perhaps Sudden Death damage should go through 100%? And leave normal executes at 20% as is?
