You can’t compare gold medals in the Olympics to a mount in a video game. One you can essentially buy with real money, the other is through actual hard work and being the only one at the top at that moment.
Even if you could, people will find out that you’re a “fraud” sooner rather than later.
gatekeeping the digital content that can be removed from the internet anyday is insane. especially when it’s something like this old zhevra that nobody’s using. yes they will keep doing this because this game has SO MANY locked rewards in it because it’s 20 years old.

if you can prove that you have the skill level for a glad mount in one season you should be able to access a vendor for the mounts of other seasons and maybe a bar to fill or a token to earn to trade one in
I meant it more in the context of it would be weird to see a glad mount appear on the trading post
this is acceptable. i’d prefer Shadowlands KSM mounts over these awful ones in Dragonflight for example.
Every Mount that was made unavailable WITHOUT ever being tide to any ingame challenges, like PvP/PvE Achivements etc. should all make a return in the form of Trading Post mounts.
I mean let’s be real, you referd a friend during WoW more or less peak, it’s not like a massive achivement that takes you Weeks or Months to achiv.
This is the best way to look at it imo.
The TP is an extra feature in the game meant to give us new cosmetics or bring back rewards that are no longer in the game. I own quite a lot of stuff that is no longer in the game and I would be ok if they brought it back via the TP. I had my time to show off the exclusive mounts/items.
Do you think the people who bought the sparklepony back in the day felt their achievement ruined when that came to trading post?

people got that zhevra for literally doing nothing other than inviting a friend probably when the game had 5x more active players.
it takes storage in my pc as a file so i have the right to get access to it. you have no reason to gatekeep something that you didn’t spend any time or effort on

I’d be happy with just the TCG items being on the TP. Some have been thrown on the BMAH too so having more added over time wouldn’t be so bad.
They said they wouldn’t add cosmetics that required skill to obtain on the TP, so don’t expect any KSM/Glad/Heroic+ mounts there any time soon.
I do however think these RaF mounts, and other stuff from the shop would just be better off staying on the shop. It’s like you said:

It’s also unfair to people who actually bought shop stuff, and now it’s just being offered in-game once you’ve got enough tender. I’d prefer them to be consistent with having shop stuff stay there, and add old stuff that relied on/required RL money purchases-RaF, Collector’s Editions, old Blizzcon items.
New stuff should really be in the game, especially with creatures we already see in the world-the rylak, grinning reaver, mana wyrm stick out with the KODO being the worst.
