Mages have swords, warlocks have swords, why not priests?

Warlocks have swords? I never actually knew this thought it was only mage…I learn new things every day!

What we do with swords? and we have daggers. Could leave swords to warlocks and mages

You mustn’t feel inferior to warlocks and mages! I’m sure you can wield a sword fabulously!

I stay with staffs, maces and daggers, could poke someone’s eye out while heal and sametime mess around with sword🙂

I think priests in Warcraft don’t carry swords because they’re originally based off priests from medieval Christendom. Christian priests during the medieval period would sometimes wade into battle carrying clubs, maces etc… instead as they’re not permitted to draw blood by the church/faith. This is why priests can use one-handed maces and mage’s & warlocks can’t. Daggers seem to be an exception though because we need to carry out ritualistic sacrifices on occasion.

We are much better off with some dag… ritual knives, when we are edgy and bored in the night. :smiling_imp:
A sword is too long to handle for us, leave those to brigands and sailor jackbooters. :stuck_out_tongue:

While we’re at it, since Anduin who Blizzard insists is a priest and not a paladin, can use two handed swords and plate armor, why can’t our priests do the same?

Actually have hoped time to time that healers could need somekind lasso’s to tie group together when they all keep running differend directions for whatever reason while tank have found another new corner and is out of sight. But atleast we have leap of Faith what actually is lot of fun time to time
