I think this should be part of the in game story. I have read 1 and a half of the Warcraft books and I will eventually get through them. However I don’t feel invested in the game or characters at the moment and I wont anytime soon. As I need to read all the books. Which Kinda creates this weird disconnect with the world. As I don’t really get to enjoy the story as I play through the game.
Side note, great raid tier. Really enjoying the raids so far this patch.
I think it’s absurd that we’re expected to buy some book in order to understand the main events and important character motivations that should be presented in the game we pay for.
I agree, a show of good faith would be to make the audio and pdf’s available for free.

I can see their side. Where having the dev time to to incorporated everything you want to say might be to much. However the main plot definitely and then details that make that feel like a story.

These books should flesh out background and lore, not write the game’s bloody story. It’s ridiculous.
I cannon say it’s good. Imo Sylvanas looks even more like a moron in it.
-First off much like in SL Sylvanas does not sound or feel like Sylvanas in this book. We knew what she was like before she did a powerslide in frostmourne and it’s pretty much what she was post powerslide, that character introduced in the 9.2 cinematic is new and that is the main protagonist of the book.
-Having a “who got it worse” competition with Anduin.
-Her reasoning for going team Jailor is “I’m big sad because I might not be with my family after I die” #VinDiezel
-She joins the Jailer after he tells her 5 things that are fated. Legion Invasion, Becoming Warchief, Sargeras stabbing the planet, Azerite and LK defeat… Everything was orchestrated by him and yet it takes her until the end of 9.1 to figure this out.
-Even after the “redemption” she “planed” to go to the maw to look for Nathanos.
-Not a negative- Jailor actually felt like a character
But yeah would have been a bit better if we got some context about her actions and motivations in the game. What would have been ideal is if we didn’t have this story in the first place.
