Meh - it adds to the story that two of her arch enemies have been in cohorts, together.
Looking back, I believe Blizzard wants to build up more of a story before Tyrande and Azshara meet again. I believe that many were upset as we all thought Azshara was the “Gul’dan” of the expansion and that she was going to die. This obviously hasn’t been the case.
Because we know Tyrande has been an avatar of Elune’s light almost all her life. And we have seen how she gets her new power as an Avatar of Elune’s vengeance through the cutscenes, as well as her incredibly lackluster fight with Nathanos. Her entire character’s powers has been around her faith to Elune, there were books describing her powers too.
Which again enforces my point. She works best as a behind the scenes character, making shady deals or doing shady stuff. Not going upfront and going 1v1 with Malfurion the literal demigod of WoW. Or Bolvar and his entire army of the dead, without so much as breaking a sweat.
How so? We’ve known Jaina since Wc3 since she was just an apprentice, and we’ve seen her story going from her being just an apprentice to becoming the head of Dalaran’s council. Her story and her gaining powers make sense.
She even gained more power in MoP when she submerged her staff to the powers of the Thunder King. And she was even able to utilize the Focusing Iris too, as well as empowering a legendary ring in WoD and raising her dad’s ship, and then summoning the fleet. Her power make sense in the story because we’ve seen how she became powerful, we’ve experienced it. We’ve read about it.
And we’ve seen from Shadowlands trailer that he wasn’t just a warrior. He had powers, like the Remorseless Winter area, and like raising the giant stone pillars that Sylvanas casually dodged like she was Neo from the Matrix. And obviously the helm allowed him to control every undead in Northrend and keep them in check.
Since he had an army that could rival both factions.
Not sure what you mean here, so I won’t bother replying to this part.
Its a shame she wasn’t, because I would love to see her dialogue with Azshara in EP, but it had to be like this because she still holds grudge against the horde after what happened to Teldrassil.
It would have been nice cause that conversation happened before Thalyssra decided that she is part of the Horde, so seeing Tyrande in Nazjatar standing alongside Shandris, while Thalyssra, and Lor’themar are there would have made good banter, Azshara sassing them all would have been the on top
I can only imagine what would Tyrande say to the Thalyssra, probably something in the line how she was right to have doubts about her and the nightborne, since they joined to the horde even tho the alliance helped them to at Suramar and participated in this war which did went so badly for the night elves.
It is a nice idea, however as far as Thalyssra’s character is concerned, I am not holding out hope for seeing her in Shadowlands, unless Azshara makes an appearance.
No, what makes them different from Sylvanas is that they all have some form of character development to explain how they got there.
Sylvanas went from neutral-evil archer who is all too aware of the fact that she and her people are literally rotting away to nothing and cares about prolonging her people’s existence to chaotic evil being who is suddenly completely unhindered by her own rotting body and wields godlike powers after making some ambiguous deal at some point with a character that we know nothing about.
Oh and she no longer gives a damn about the Forsaken because reasons, cool.
Tyrande basically told her we will cut off your magic supply ( something they depended on before the fruit) she even compared her to Elisande , and correct me if Im wrong did she also say Azshara .
Anyways I think the Alliance needed Tyrande to represent them there instead of Genn of all ppl
To be fair, I’d say both might be benched this time.
Oculeth might join us, somewhere down the road, but due to the amount of lore that Thalyssra and Jaina received of recent, I think it’s time they stood down. Personally, as a Nightborne fan, I’m not unhappy about this.
I would like to see more the participation of the other races of the alliance in the story, I’m bored of humans getting all the spotlight all the time, and having all leading positions.
lich king, he killed a shet ton of adventurers in one blow, he would eat sylvanas like a popcorn piece, it would get stuck in his teeth for a few sec, but then it would be spit out
Looking at how Blizz is currently using Sylv, she could actually cook an egg on Arthas head all the while he is using Remorseless Winter.
That’s how broken she is right now.
Not as easily as bolvar, but yes. Even arthas will fall. It’s kind of not a fair fight considering the fact that she’s channeling her power from the Maw were EVERY person who died since who knows when goes there. My theory’s that even argus is in the maw. Which may be as to why the maw is suddenly sucking up all the souls. Something must have happened to suddenly make the jailer strong enough to break the machine of death. And an all powerful titan soul entering maw, under the fingers of this jailer? That could explain everything.
But let’s get one thing straight since a lot of people here are hyping up the lich king more than what he really is.
Yes. He’s powerful. YES. he managed to do a lot. But most of what makes the lich king powerful is the army at his back. not he himself. And there are a lot of more powerful characters out there. The dragon aspects, titans, old gods, characters like odyn, etc.
