System requirements

Hello. Thinking about upgrade my old pc for playing dragonflight (and for the future war within) on low budget.
This what i have
Mobo: asus p8h61 (s1155)
Processor: i5-2400
Ram: 8 gb
Gpu: gtx 460 1 gb

What i think to do:
Stay on this mobo
Buy i7-3770
Upgrade to 16 gb ram
Buy gtx 1050/1060 3 or 6 gb
What you think about it? Any thoughts, recomendations maybe? Maybe someone already use same setup?

With upgrade like this, i think i can save money on mobo, leave 1 stick 8gb ddr3 ram (and add 1 same), and maybe leave my 450W power supply

The biggest problem is the CPU and the slow RAM.
Especially the CPU will bottleneck your FPS in raids, m+, anywhere with many players and or mobs.
WoW is mostly CPU limited (singlethreaded).

The 1060 would be ok for 1080 with medium settings and 60 FPS i guess, but like i said the CPU won’t even do 30 in raids (no matter what settings).

The 3770 is actually still below minimum specs according to Blizzard.

What is your budget?
Maybe you can save up some more and get a cheap AM4 platform with a 5600 Ryzen or it might be a good idea to buy used if you can find something decent.

Your current computer is so old that spending money to upgrade it for WoW is pointless. At most I’d consider getting SSD if you don’t have one already (as you can move it to new computer, too). Maybe more RAM if you can get it very cheap/free.

Save more money and buy either new computer or newer used computer/parts.

Thanks for the explanation!
I have a main computer on which I currently play wow. I wanted to save this setup and leave it in the village where I spend some time (Or as a backup PC). And was thinking about restoring this PC on the cheap price. But now i understand it would be pointless
