This week tab targeting explosives do not work as previous. It seems to have really low priority, and feels like it goes through all the other mobs you pulled before it finally lets you target the orb itself.
It was not like this before at all. For clickers this won’t change a thing, but I only target stuff with tabbing. But even for clickers this will cause issues when bolstering mobs grow in size, and certain bosses it’s very hard to actually click it for them.
For me personally, I cba killing orbs when its like this, please fix this as it was before patch.
Same here. For some reason I can’t click target mobs even though I have orb nameplates set to huge and coloured. My workaround was to tab target and it allowed me as bm hunter to take care of most of them for the group. Now both options are broken. I accept that this is an overlap with some issue I’m having with nameplate click targeting, but don’t understand why the tab targeting had to change. Why you do dis to me Blizz? Sadface.
I can confirm this. 1 boss, 1 explosive… Could not tab to the explosive. Had this quite often, where it would rotate through all the mobs several times and never hit the explosive.
Same deal here, explosives are very very low priority or some such change. Impossible/extremely hard to tab target to. I was tanking the first Tol Dagor boss, and three explosives spawned in a cluster. Moved to the cluster of explosives, and were unable to target any of the explosives with tab target.
Pretty much what title says … This entire week, me and everyone i asked in M+ runs are having troubles targeting explosives through tab and need to mouse click them. I had at least 5 wipes just because of this, because noone was able to switch to them in group of mobs and 2 of them went off at almost the same time. This also hugely decreases dps because everyone is focusing on trying to click them, or smashing tab 20 times instead of actually dealing damage.
Junkyard yesterday, and there explosives was extremely annoying. Last boss those robots will spawn explosives, I had only 2 robots in front of me along with a single explosive, and it tabbed only between the 2 robots skipping the explosive in 2 cycles. Only option was to click. Sometimes it lets you tab the explosive though, but mostly it won’t.
Also slimeboss if one of those cleaning devices outside of melee stack gets a bubble, will spawn an untabbable explosive… Really fun to try and click when constantly on the move dodging stuff.
Can anyone at home submit a bug of this in game? The link blue showed us says you have to be ingame to submit the bug.
I use the weakaura called [automarker]. What it essentially does is mark specific enemies based on their NPC ID while in combat. Things that normally require an interrupt, stun, higher priority etc…
By default the WA doesn’t include explosives as an option but thats a simple change on my end to add the [NPC ID: 120651] which is easy to find in the tooltip when you mouseover them in a dungeon.
So what is the problem?
Since 8.3 ive been noticing this week that the weakaura no longer marks explosives as they spawn. This is because previously you would immediately be in combat with them until 8.3. Now when they spawn they are no longer in combat until YOU personally hit one, not just someone in your party. Thus the weakaura no longer works as quickly as it did before.
This seems like an undocumented change in 8.3 as I would always immediately be in combat up until the most recent major patch.
This issue was indeed found and resolved shortly after it was reported, about 3 weeks ago. While I appreciate the update, please don’t bump old threads for such a thing. I’ve closed the thread now as the issue was resolved.
