TAB-targeting should prefer targets without Rupture

I mean, on assa, it would really help if I don’t have to fish for nameplates…

That sounds like a very complicated thing to code

You want Rupture, Ferals want Rake, Shadow Priests wants SW:Pain, et cetera

But what you can do is get a nameplate addon like plater and configure it to change the color of the nameplates based on the presence of Rupture, or any other debuff of your choosing

Besides:

I’m pretty sure an “if” statement can solve it…

Yeah, if Rupture was the only thing anyone cared about.
But thats just not the way the world works

Yeah I can just see it now… mages tab targeting and it not swapping because rupture isnt active on the target haha

@OP, Only thing I can suggest is using a mouseover macro assuming your using some form of nameplates which shows rupture

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover] Rupture

Oh, you have no idea how the server works, have you?
I suggest you download a copy of MaNGOS, and take a look at the code.

Im not sure how this is relevant to what I said, the first part of my post was a joke in response to what evo said in the post directly above it.

The 2nd part was directed at you as a solution to you not wanting to tab target spam to find targets without rupture. If you dont want help or a conversation from/with average people and want to directly make a suggestion to blizzard, there are appropriate ways of submitting a suggestion in game where your knowledge of the server can end up in the hands of someone who actually works on the server instead of using a forum that blizzard very rarely look at.

Just get unitframes that shows what debuff what mob has.

Everything does not needs to be automated.

My brother in Christ, I have directly stated in the opening post I wish to avoid fishing for nameplates…

Everything does not needs to be automated.

well, whenever blizz starts to ban botters again, then you can say that

I want to automate as much as possible, because there seems to be no consequences if I do so…

At no point did you say I dont want to. You said it would help if I didnt have to. That, and the title of this thread implies fishing via tab targeting with the use of nameplate addon to track rupture. it also implies if you had an option you would prefer not to, you dont have an option, What i offered was an easier way to do it. Its either fish through tab targeting or work your way through name plates using a mouseover macro.

Your attitude isnt great towards people that are trying to help by making suggestions. There are ways and means of politely saying thanks but I want to avoid doing that if I can, and is possible without the use of sarcasm.

A simple if command would be extremely complex due to the variables involved, it would have to track the source of rupture otherwise multiple rogues spamming rupture would cause issues, track your spec, then there are other classes and specs that would require similar if commands for their spells. Then you have issues if you want to pandemic a rupture on a target, 8 mobs, 4 rupture active, now you have to cycle through 4 mobs to find one to pandemic. Then you have different conditions which might cause issues such as raids or epic battlegrounds running even more checks than it is currently. It might sound like a simple “if” command but it is more complex than that and judging by your knowledge of “the server”, you should know that.

GL finding whatever you were after.

Reply to this if you want but I aint bumping this thread anymore by entertaining you

anyway, bots seem to be ignored by blizzard again, anyone know a good one?

You see, I’ve worked on projects involving mangos… and I also kind of hate greed…

but to hell with it… I’m gonna get a copy of the newest MaNGOS, and see how complicated it is to filter for an ability for one single class

EDIT:
Ah, my comment which mentioned the £70 shop mount was removed…

Okay, then, congrats to blizz for the 500k active accounts, most of which are bots

I thought Microsoft buying Blizz will do good, but it just made it worse…

Yeah, my attitude isn’t great, because a $68.7 billion company is not exactly a startup struggling with money… THEY DO HAVE THE RESOURCES TO FIX SH*T, but they choose not to…

They are. If they’re constantly banning them, they botters can see who isnt banned and who is and figure out better how to get away with it.

Then an auto battler game like any mobile game sounds more like for you since it seems like you just don’t want to do anything. Wanting to automate stuff just because bots “gets away” with it is a crap reason. You’re just lazy.
