Wow, I am so stoked! I have always loved the look of that tabard that the Argent Dawn have, so doing the opening of the Black Portal event and get the Tabard of the Protector is something I am so looking forward to! My Blood Elf paladin will look awesome!
Well, except that someone decided that to make the time available to level a Blood Elf paladin to level 60 and achieve that quest at the portal only TWO WEEKS!
Riddle me this Blizzard: How will I maintain a job, sleep and commute, while still having time to level a character from 0 to 60 and perform the quest in that time?
All quests from 30+ have a much higher quest reward (about 50% I seem to recall) and the xp per level from either 20 or 30 is reduced by 30%.
If you’re dedicated it will be easy to lvl 1-60 in 2 weeks. If you’ve a job and family etc then it’s unlikely; but then shouldn’t a job and family come before WoW anyway?
Isn’t the figure floating around 7 days /played for those who aren’t experienced speed levellers?
Thats 12 hours a day for the entire prepatch - that’s not “you can’t do this if you have a job of family” but it’s rather “you CAN do this is you risk your physical and mental health”.
But nobody said that you’d be able to hit level 58 by TBC launch anyway No idea why people are so upset just because they made plans based on assumptions, actual TBC didn’t have BE/Draenei 'til launch day…
I dont think “not having enough time to lvl a belf i draenei” is a valid point to argue against the short time since you couldnt level a belf or draenei before launch.
I think 7 days /played is current average. My first toon back in vanilla was just over 8 days /played i think (was 15 years ago so brain could be fuzzy).
That brings it down to maybe 4/5 days /played, but i’d have thought most players going into TBC are veterans and/or current classic players. Just thought, not fact
But 2 weeks is plenty of time to purchase gold and spam 24/7"WTB dungeon xxxx boost" to every boosting mage on your server. You can also bot while you’re at work.
I agree, but I don’t think being experienced at the game indicates they’re experienced at levelling. In my 5-figure hours with WoW over its life, most people I come across are atrocious at levelling fast simply because it’s a minor part of the game and one of the least important aspects for most people.
A standard player, experienced or not, is likely just going to pick up every quest they come across (and maybe skip escorts), or perhaps do lost of dungeons … the difference between doing that and being an “experienced speed leveller” is an absurd amount of time.
I don’t have a route myself for vanilla or TBC classic, but to give some degree of impact it can make … my own retail levelling route usually sees me hit level 50 within 6-7 hours, which is just over half the time you would expect a veteran player, but not a speed-leveller, to hit level 50 (who have an ET of 12-13 hours).
I realized this 3 months ago and leveled up my paladin in order to get the tabard.
Trust me, I had the same panic.
But back in the ages, there was no blood elf in prepatch. Everyone that was 60 had the chance in the Dark Portal event to get the tabard. The others, never again.
Nope. /played should be around 15 days on a paladin.
15 days ? what did you do ? stand in SW playing a violin ? … 11 days 0 boosts
also EVERYONE can Shut up … id wish blizz now turned around and said… Real TBC experience and didnt give belf/draenei at Pre Patch… whatca going to do then ?!? cry ?
