Tagging mobs and class competition

The ability to easily and quickly tag mobs is something all classes should have.

At the moment some classes are completely useless for tagging, leaving them unable to even attempt to compete in getting mob kills.

This used to be the case in classic era, but the gap between classes has widened greatly in season of discovery.

Druid is a great example of making one class way too good at tagging.
Boomies can just spam macros to pull everything within a 40yard range.
Instant cast, spammable spells, with no travel time and immediate tag.

Shadow Priests are also good at this, where they can hit 40 yard range without even having to be facing the target.
Just spam your macro, and if you are anywhere in line of sight, you just insta tag.

Then we look at classes like Rogue and Warrior.
Classes which are left in the dirt even attempting to play.

Rogues have

  • shadowstep, 25 yards range, 0 instant damage so tag comes after first swing timer.
  • slowly throwing daggers with 2.0s cast time and travel time
  • sprint running towards the target

Warriors have

  • charge 8-25 yards (yes you can get deadzoned by charge), 0 instant damage so tag comes after first swing timer.
  • sprint 8-25 yards, needs rage, tags instantly since it hits damage. 30s cooldown.
  • slowly throwing daggers/arrows with 2s-3s cast time and travel time
  • Needs rage to instantly attack something that spawns on top of you or do 2.5s swing timer.

Now you might go “Whatever just bring some friends”.
Does not matter if you are 4-5 different classes when a group of 2 boomies can just fully deny any tags.

Sounds like you need to make friends with some boomkins

i have boomie friends and i sht you not, people leave farms when they see the boomie walk in
