Tank Demand-Disparity between Raids and Dungeons

I’ve noticed, that there is a huge change in demand for tanks between dungeons and raids. As a tank you can instantly find a group for a dungeon, because Mythic+ requires 20% of the players to be tank. However, in raiding suddenly only around 10% of the players need to be tank in most cases.

This means, that one form of related content needs double the amount of tanks.

This means, that it’s impossible for the PvE-Playerbase to actually settle at an optimum between supply and demand currently, which makes it frustrating for DPS players to find Dungeons, and for Tank players to find raids. Blizzard should make sure, that various forms of PvE content require the same % of tanks, healers, and dps.

It’s actually worse, because people keep finding ways to solo tank raid bosses.

Anyway, encounter design will be very limited if we’re going to require 20% of the raid to be tanks. It’s already a bit of a joke in the tank community that the only thing you need to talk to your cotank about is how many stacks to swap at. Other than taunt swaps we have “attacks that need to be shared” and “mobs that need to be tanked away from each other” to inspire raid leaders to put more shields on the roster.
