Tanking - how do you 'learn'?

Hello everyone

Sooooo, been playing on-and-off WoW since inception  Back after a VERY long break now and really enjoy the game so far. I came back to the game with a Paladin, as i remembered that back in the day it was a very solo-friendly class (and i dont like pets)

Now, looking for some variety, i would like to start doing some tanking. Not going to M+ or raid or anything - until/unless/if i love it and am good at it

So here i am, sitting in Dornogal, with a 608 ilevel guy, copied a lightsmith template from Icyveins ready to roll… but im super afraid :stuck_out_tongue: How do you start? How do you get the hang of it?

I went through a few followers dungeons, but those seem “too easy” to really get a feel of what it would be like, what to do/not do etc… My objective at first is being able to beat the queues and do timewalkings for quests, Delves etc - would you advise just jumping in and ‘trial and error’ that thing ?

Dont really know from which angle to take this  If you are bad at DPS’ing you basically just make your group a bit too slow. If you are bad at tanking, people die

Thanks !!

Try to do m0 dungeons and look how u do, learn the dungeons bosses/mobs, learn when to use defensives. Try it with people u know or if u have a guild try it with them.
