Tanks are a rare breed

Ye bcs tanking equals crafting water ofcourse… Some people buy water just like some people buy tanks. Its nothing new. There are 2 things sure in life; death and a shortage in tanks

Stares in 100+ smoked sagefish as a warrior

The trunks were nice atleast

Technically there is a shortage of people who want to tank, not tanks as a class specific ones. Every fury warrior can slap on a shield and tank a dungeon effortlessly.
Still rewarding those players, just because they decided to do that is not helpful. This is how the TGC (Tank God Complex) is born: “I am more valuable than you, because I picked the right role, so you do as I say or I leave”.

Not all greens, maybe off specc greens sure? Perhaps a 1g tariff for repairs. (higher levels) Otherwise consumables are always welcome.

Imagine getting this mad at videogames.

There is no talking to communist like yourself. According to your example everyone is a doctor only a few want to practice the profession. Everyone can slap on a stetoscope.

And what would you suggest to people who’re looking for tank and can’t find one? I remember that even Blizzard made special gifts for tanks in LFG, I got stratholme mount from that gift box.

Next time you pugs are looking for a tank, try to compensatie him for his efforts

As a mage I am currently farming the neck from last boss of strat live. Every time I make a group I always promise the first orb goes to the tank so he has a guaranteed bit of gold for his time.

You good people dude. Tanking for mage gods can b hard from time to time

Generally tanks should be the one dictating right? Furthermore they did pick the right role, tanking can be boring at times and is in high demand. I don’t see an issue here.

More like, everyone that graduated medical school has the potential to be a doctor, but only a few people chose to.

No, that is a myth. Anyone can dictate, regardless of the role he plays. The current raid leaders can play any role.

‘Generally’ I know very few that aren’t tanks. But the majority especially in pugs tend to be tanks.

It is no myth. Generally tanks dictate the pace. Ofcourse keeping in mind healer mana. Still when the healer is good he times drinks well, barely having downtime

That’s actually stated in one of the loading screen tips. “Being polite while in a group will get you invited again” or something like that.

It’s funny because every tank I’ve played with or when I tank, none of the behaviour you describe seem to happen.
People seem to play and overall feel the game very peacfully even in pickups.

The only one that seem to be an butt in every situation so far is you

No, that’s how it is.
There is one tank per group, and three damage dealers and people don’t want to be the tank. Those that decided to roll that role, like myself are doing it not cuz I like tanking but cuz our guild is lacking tanks.

And if the pug is full of people like you I am just leaving stating them why I do so.

Just yesterday got a WC group with hunter ninja looting chests, rogue afking, another rogue pulling everything for “xp” and healer forgetting he is a healer.

No one is paying the tank do deal with this kind of experience, we have every right to leave if we’re displeased - just like any other role.

Seems more like you think the tank is there to play according to you, and if he doesn’t he must have a TGC.

Let you need on all the greens cus you are a tank??? get out of here i replace you with a mage

GL with that.

I know a lot of tanks are getting offended by this, but the simple truth is - you are not special, you are just a player like anyone else and you are not owed anything more than any other person in the group. If the run is good, it’s good for every one, if it isn’t, it effects the other 4 people as well. Don’t think that only tanks have had bad experiences in pugs. I just had to solo heal an UBRS run, where agro was all over the place, one of the tank refused to put up a shield, unless we were fighting a boss and on top of that, decided to skip 2 groups before the bridge to Drakkisath, guaranteeing that the hunter, kiting him, would ninja pull those mobs.
Tanks are not perfect, they make mistakes like every one else.
