Target cap. Why some classes uncapped and some capped?

How so ??

Pvp have their Owen balance
Raid effected mainly by single target

Buffing aoe only really effect m+ ,and if you don’t care about m+ why would even care if they get uncapped? It will literally only effect m+

If anything m+ balance is irrelevant to pvp balance and raid balance

Take for example fury warrior:
Broken in pvp
Decent in raid
Hot garbage in m+

And this will add more confusion, more immersion breaking and it completly goes againts RPG. Your skills should never be working differently based on content you do. This is nonsensen what only use compettive games like League and not even in such extend. Dont have to remind you that PvP Is completly dead on retail. What is gonna ve next template s for classes? I swear nobady of you plays wow for game it supostu be which is mmorpg. You all play it like its some compettive PvE esport game.

No wonder wow keep lossing players no matter what Blizzard does. They completly lost their target audience.

There are many ways. Their single target damage or cleave damage for bosses may be higher, they may have utilities or control that is necessary which the capless classes can’t provide.

I dunno, be inventive?

Well … I didn’t asked how capped classes outperform uncapped classess
I asked how uncapped classess outperform capped classess in a capped favor scenario

UnCapped class can provide the same damage in a capped/st and deal 2x+ damage in big pulls

My guy the only thing that hard about m+ is get into a group

What exactly an mmorpg in your eyes?

Be nice if SP’s Shadow Crash still had its cap on its own damage but applied [with talent] DoTs on everything within it…

AoE’ing as an SP is a pain in the butt, I miss the old addon “Enemy Grid” that made DoT’ing overlapping enemy plates a lot easier on packs. AoE’ing with a melee class is infinitely easier.

But do they?

In my experience generally not.

But more importantly, most of the uncapped classes either lose a significant number of globals or simply can’t interrupt enough enemies for some pulls to be possible.

The thing here is that, yes, given the precise parameters of 20 mobs doing diddly squat, clearly the non-capped class pulls ahead, but that is far from the normal pull.

but they do

dont know about your exp , but according to archon and raid logs they do

but more importantly , they stacked with utility while most capped classes have barely if any utility

So they don’t want people to mass aoe pull and that’s why we have target cap . Meanwhile everyone does aoe pulls and the Mythic + dungeons are designed with that in mind .
If you want to reduce AOE pulls …
How about we put target cap to aoe roots , stuns , and overall cc .
Put a limit to dodge , parry, block per second so you can only dodge /parry/block 1 attack per second .
Than increase mob damage so their mele are threatening .

Now go ahead and try to pull the whole dungeon … even with uncapped damage you won’t be able to do it .

So they hold onto ideas that do not work in reality and keep insisting it works and leave things broken
