As the title says, every time I return to Retail WoW from Plunderstorm match, my “Target of Target” setting (in Options > Combat > Target of Target) keeps getting turned off.
Turning it on means it stays on as long as I don’t enter Plunderstorm, after entering and playing a Plunderstorm match it’s off again.
Anyone else with this same issue? I did put in an in-game bug report as well.

Plunderstorm patch seems to have caused a whole bunch of bugs in WoW, espcially with settings and chat. Even the Plunderstorm settings don’t save between matches.
Think they just hooked into WoW’s existing files for a lazy code and the end result is that it just broke everything.

It seems that switching in between plunderstorm and retail wow affects the config-cache.wtf located in WTF\Account\ACCOUNTNAME\config-cache.wtf by taking off:
SET showTargetOfTarget “1”
SET statusText “1”
After trying to set this specific file on “read only mode”, I realized that the launcher was resetting it every time I closed the game.
Most of my UI is the same but certain options won’t update, like the health percentage won’t show, debuffs won’t show, i can’t see who mobs are targeting, I’ve checked the options and all are still set to the way i used to have them, i’ve tried switching them off and on again, I just can’t get it to do anything I’m telling it to do
Nameplates are affected since the patch. It doesn’t matter which options I choose in the interface menu “Display Health Text”. I can’t see my own or other players hp, only by mousing over the portrait.
Same here.
Chat resets, aswell as other Interface elements such as players health / percentage, Target of a targer and so on.
It is kinda annoying that I have to change it back every time I log in.
Our developers are working on fixing several issues related to character settings not saving, or resetting. A couple of hotfixes should be done early this week.

Any updates about it? Settings still reset everytime I’m back from Plunderstorm.
I also lose my quest arrow whenever I get back into the game after plunderstorm now.
It’s worth doing a bug report for issues. CS don’t pass on bug reports, most replies are either that it’s known or unknown.
- Press Esc or click the ? button to open the menu.
- Click Support.
- Click Submit feedback or bug report.
- Enter the details of the bug into the Submit a bug description box, making sure to follow the guidelines outlined on the submission form.
- Click Submit.
These reports go to the Devs who can fix things, CS and GMs can’t fix bugs. You won’t get a response from a bug report but it will go to the right people.
