Hi, is there a reason why the blizzard keybindings default option “target party member 1-2” still jumps to partys pets aswell when you use these?

I mean there is separate keybinds in the option for “target party pet 1-” so what reason is for “target party member 1-2” to also select pets?

I have to make separate macros for targeting to go around this because I cant use default blizzard keybinds cause of this so I have to waste my macro slots which I already have too many to make simple macro to bind like “/target Party1” and you need two

Could blizzard or someone explain why the keybind which specifically states to target party memeber 1-2 also has to jump on pets as this makes no sense to me when there is specifically also keybinds for pets alone

Why not just use mouseover macros?

i do, but sometimes you also want to hold on friendly and as clicking the party frame could select them it takes your mouse from movement for brief moment so i use both

i just find this function still in game weird that selecting party member 1-2 also jumps on pets when there is specific keybind for pets only as “target party pet 1-” also in the keybinds :smiley:

feels weird that we need go past this with macros for something simple like selecting your party member

I’ve not used it very often but I thought pressing F1 once targeted Party member 1 but pressing F1 twice targeted their pet.
Has this changed?

Don’t F1-F5 target party members respectively, from F1 being you and F5 the fifth member?

if you select party members with scroll it keeps jumping on pets and i think theres no reason to this when there is keybind in options specifically for pets aswell, its just clunky and you need waste macro slots for targeting party member 1-2

even if someone would want to select party member 1’s pet like this it would be faster to just select it directly instead of press party member 1 bind 2x to select his pet

but its alright i just use macros to select party 1-2 im just wondering why it has to be this hard to let people simply just select party member 1-2 and nothing else

if someone want select their pets they can click the pet or use the bind for it called “target party pet” but now its added on the “target party member 1-2” binds aswell which is meant for the player not the pets that come with them :man_facepalming:
