Tauren Heritage Armor, Acutal requirements for a Race changed Tauren

Greetings and Salutations,

Long story short, on a mission for the Tauren Heritage Armor, Tauren Shaman alt, leveled him up from around 105 to 120, then read the whole Honorbound rep and Warcampaign requirements, and realised i didn’t have THAT much online time to spare to run an alt through all that mess again, SO…

Since you only need a lvl120 Tauren, and race changing doesn’t seem to be an issue for the core races…
I Race changed my Hunter to Tauren, is lvl120, is exalted with TB, is exalted with Honorbound and completed Warcampaign before 8.2*…
*(except “Battle for Dazar’alor” raid)…

So…
-Is completing the Raid an actual requirement???
-Other than that, is getting an Ally in Nazjatar to lvl3 the only requirement left to unlock the “Stay of Execution” scenario, to free Blaine???

Already opened a ticket, but allz’ i got from the GM was a link to WoWhead…

Anyhoo, any and all info is welcome (coz i’m down to my last reserve-nerve here!)

Regards,

You need to complete the raid as you need to get further in the war campaign.

So jaina & lvl 3 follower and you’re good to go

I thank you Sir-and-or-Madam…

Usually i’m just casually soloing, or soloingly casual…
But i guess i can squeeze a raid out of these old bones yet?

Thanxx for reply!

Wait, did you race changed a hunter to a Tauren just because he had more progress on war campaign? You don’t need to complete it on a Tauren to get access to Tauren Heritage Armor questchain. You just need to complete once on your account on any character, regardless of faction or race.

I did the campaign on Worgen and my tauren has the set without even touching the campaign.

Also, just do the last wing of Battle of Dazar’alor on Raid Finder, it’s called Victory or Death. It’s easy. Just 3 bossess, plenty of people already overgeared and only one mechanic to worry about per boss. It’s also quite cool segment of a raid with some cool fights.

The player made it to the forums!

Don’t wanna b*tch 'n moan…
But this is the type of information you’d expect from a GM, after he’s read your ticket AND has the ability to access a players progress, to see where the error of my ways was… OR where i’m still behind with certain questchains or campaigns…
*(also would have been nice to get a heads-up about NOT having to pay for a race change on my Hunter…)
Guess i’m gunna have to become a more frequent visitor to the forums?

Anyhoo, thx for replies, back to the grind (and the wait for that 2 day-long follower Mission)…

Lok’tar Ogar and may i add… Well played Podruge!

I recommend checking the official and unofficial news outlets from time to time (wowhead and Blizzard’s main site) since they did state before 8.2 launched that you do not need to do the war campaign on a tauren to unlock the heritage armor.

Actually Athiyk, not a lack of information was the problem, but too-much information!
*(and some of it conflicting information)

Where WoWhead said; “TAUREN will also first need to complete the War Campaign Quest, Stay of Execution, wich will be available etc, etc…”
While a GM link to the Heritage Armor Requirements said; “Players will also first need to complete the War Campaign quest Stay of Execution, ON ANY CHARACTER, regardless of faction etc, etc…”

Hence, the confusion…

Yes, that is true, though truth be told I expected them to edit it by now. Blizzard was never too good when it came to explanation and descriptions.

For Wowhead you often have to look through the comments section to find a solution to problems, or if there was any change made in certain descriptions.

That conflicting information is completely on Blizzard. On the official Blizzard preview it said just like it was on wowhead: “TAUREN will also first need to complete the War Campaign Quest, Stay of Execution, wich will be available etc, etc…”
But after a while they just changed the wording because of the public outcry. Also they only changed it on the US site, EU site still says you need to do it on a Tauren.
