I was just wondering if you can unlock the heritage armor for Tauren on a race changed character? I was thinking of changing my HM Tauren to a regular one, but wanted to know beforehand.
I realise the HM Taurens had to level from 20-110, but I couldn’t find that requirement anywhere for the classic taurens anywhere.
For tauren heritage you need a tauren on 120, that is exalted with thunder bluff. The are no requirements to level them up to 120 without boosts or race change.
However you do need a completed war campaign on one character (doesn’t need to be the tauren) up until the part where you level the Nazjatar followers to lvl 3 I think, at which point you can proceed further in the campaign. The important quest is the Baine quest (saving him).
Awesome, thanks! The rest of the requirements I was okay with. I just wasn’t too sure if you needed to level the tauren up from 1 to 120.
Thanks for the clarification
Yep, for anyone else wondering, I got it! Race changed my HM Tauren at 120 to a regular Tauren and worked no problem.
Realised I was only honored with Thunder Bluff, but after running Mechanar over and over with the tabard, I was able to get to exalted in under an hour.
Also needed to complete the war campaign to the point where you save Baine.
Loving the sexy new Tauren heritage armor (which looks better than the HM one IMHO). Probably because I like all the blue on it.
Anyway i have a question to you because i’m struggling to get quest for saving Baine, you posted somwhere that this quest is given to you altogether with quest to exp follower to 3k, i have done full nazjatar questline with attunement to Eternal Palace but i didn’t get quest to save Baine, is it Honorbound Rep related? i’m 6k/21k right now.
Yeah, I believe it is honorbound rep related. I had to go through the entire campaign quest line. Have you done that part where you hunt down Saurfang? Lor’themar should have the Visions of Danger quest in Nazjatar after that.
The final rep milestone needed I think was 14k into revered.
Not on tauren char, and i have honorbound exalted on my main character, i red on some forums that i need whole war campain with my main only to get that quest and get heritage armor set for tauren, that’s strange…
Unfortunately not. I had already completed it all on another character, but I still had to do it on my Tauren.
For those wondering how much of Nazjatar you have to do, it’s not much. You just need to complete Clearing out the Cache (stealing the azerite weapons from the Naga) and getting a follower to rank 3 (Down into Nazjatar, I think it’s called). You don’t need to do anything else after that except grind Honorbound.
Heh, yeah it sucks. Grinding Honorbound for my fifth time in a row, and it ain’t fun. Was great watching the story unfold the first time around, but it’s not the kind of thing you really want to do again and again.
