I am struggling on what race I want my warrior to be in Shadowlands.
I am a Tauren currently and I really like them. I like their lore and that they are much bigger than the other races. They look like monsters with a really cool transmog.
Though, imo you can’t have a helmet on a Tauren without it looking weird.
Some helmets could maybe work ut i general no.
Orcs are smaller but still big. They also look really cool in the right transmog (like all races) AND they can have helmets which looks even cooler.
Now when Shadowlands hits I saw the black/red legendary set for plate and it looks sooo awesome. I can’t see why you would have that set and not having the helmet transmoged. It just adds so much awesomeness to it. (don’t know if that is an actual word xD).
I really don’t know what to do. I like the lore of Tauren so much and how they look and that they are so big. ORc are also cool though but I like the lore from Taurens more.
But I like Orcs alot more when it comes to transmogs cuz they can actually have a helmet on xD.
So what would you’ve done if you tried to be in my position?
Or if you have had the same problem before and if so, how did you solve it?
EDIT:
I also do some arenas and sometime I would really like to get to gladiator and I know that orcs are better in pvp cuz their racial.
Depends on what content you see yourself doing honestly. Orcs would mega benefit you more than a tauren would in PVP/PVE as a whole if you honestly don’t care for appearance.
Hard to say… I have tried to create a character because I really wanted to, but for some reason I ended up getting really annoyed every time I played with it.
I create a lot of chars, but few survives.
I always think playing some levels (with the old lvl systen up to lvl 25) to get the feel of the char… You’ll usually have found out which one you prefer
Yeah earlier in BFA I race changed to an Orc because of what I said in the topic. But it just felt so wrong. It was cool at first but I just missed being the biggest cow in Azeroth.
I just looked at the legendary set on wowhead dressing room. It doesn’t look that bad on a Tauren.
Also keep in mind that it’s just one set. The raid will bring another one. There will be more in 9.1 and 9.2 and beyond. Is it worth changing what you love just because you really like one armor in one patch?
That’s actually funny cuz im actually leveling an Orc warrior gith now. I want more warriors so I can farm plate transmogs more efficiently and I thought that I would know when im leveling the Orc if I prefer Taurens or Orcs.
It’s like that for most races. Horns, tusks, ears, eyebrows, beards, long snouts. It’s something you need to accept and play your transmog around it or race change into something bland and boring like a human.
cant stress enough how much i support this comment.
i made a male worgen warlock. i dig the race, i dig the class and everything. but i had a very hard time finding a headpiece that didnt look extremely goofy and out of place due to the hunch.
but i somewhat made it work and now love it.
there are certain races which are awesome but suffer from a similar problem like tauren do.
most of the time its just a matter of getting used to something or finding a way around it.
And that’s not taking into account stuff like the size or the posture of the model itself and pieces that you’re transmogging. Certain races have much bigger shoulderpads or the armor is stretched or boots are missing or the belt is clipping through the robe or… You all see the point.
