Is the rune console display for the Hylbrande fight incorrect/bugged, or is it just me not getting it?
I assumed that when you stand directly on front of the console, the bottom right there would correspond to the bottom right of the room as seen when standing in front of the console resp. when entering the room.
On the minimap, the bottom right would be south, the top right => east, top left => north and bottom left => west (as the room is slightly tilted).
However it seems that the required position is actually shifted one position counter-clockwise, i.e. the bottom right (south) one needs to go to the top right instead (east).

I’ve only just recently returned to WoW, so I haven’t played the dungeon while it was current content, and so I also don’t know if this is working as expected and I’m just not getting it, or if there’s indeed a bug.
Although from watching videos from other people it does look like a bug to me, i.e. their positioning was as displayed in the rune console. ¯\(ツ)/¯

Well, I can confirm that it is still bugged.
For anyone that’s not facerolling through the encounter yet and still has to do the transition phase, a way to get it to display “correctly” is to run to the left of the console, turn right to face the console, and then note down the arrangement of the runes.
