Tbc druids

This is of course anecdotal, but i’m now levelling my own druid spellcloth / primalmight / later herb slave, and so far I did “normal” DM, BFD and Gnomer, as well as one 5reset boost in Stockade amd SM each, and the groups were almost exclusively comprised of druids and paladins. No locks, no huntets. I don’t know what to think of this.

Makes sense, a lot of people get put off healing, I do find myself killing mobs slower than others after a certain threshold, but at the same time I feel like I can’t die.

But yes, people enjoy classes for their own reasons.

I enjoy it doing open world content.
I hated it in raids when I had to focus on one role.

You get with restro I guess?

In Tbc you get enough talent points to main heal and offtank, snooping off equipments from rogues and wariorettes as you are prior.

What to think you this?

People switching to new fotm lock / hunter either already have a max lvl alt of the desired class or will pay the boost to get their 58 hunter / warlock.

Most warriors i know are so rich because of naxx gdkp that they easily boosted (from mages) their warlock / hunter new main for tbcc.

I expect to see an army of 58 boosted warlocks especially on my server though.

Point is I don’t like healing.
And lets be honest that’s dudu main role in end game in tbc just like classic.

I enjoy this class far more in retail. In fact boomkin is my favourite caster.

Been trying decide should i go druid or priest for healing since not ever really liked playing other role. Shaman healer i might level somepoint but planned main druid or priest healer. Druid would give lot more options

Druids, paladins, shamans, warlocks and hunters will be all over da place, mon.
Dey will overtake warriors, rogues, mages and priests big time.

Not bad change, after i met milion undead rogues.

I hope they wont be overplayed, im planning to play balance druid, do you think i find dungeon spots easly?

Looking around, I don’t think druids will be overplayed. They’ll become a bit more popular compared to Classic, but they are the least played class there, so that’s not a bad thing. I still see quite a few raiding guilds advertising for druids for their TBC roster on my server (split between boomkins and resto, with a very rare slot for a feral). A lot of people are focussed on min-maxing and will thus be more attracted to warlocks, hunters and shammies, plus the flavour of the month with belf paladins… There was a stage a lot of people were levelling druid alts, but that seems to have died off somewhat.

Theres A LOT of druids. Don’t know where you guys are playing lol. Also Feral druid will be an insane off-tank and even a main tank in TBC

druid is excellent tank, especially for heroic dungeons. And once he gets T5 gear can maintank raid. All roles are needed in TBC, you need Feral tank for Lead or the Pack, need Moonkin for the 5% spell crit… there is not a single class that only has 1 spec for endgame in TBC like it was for Vanilla.

And what about… rogues and cats? They are needed to? I like sneaky class You see.
Still have couple of minutes to make up my mind.

Rogues will have a good time in heroics because they bring good CC for pulls. If you’re committed you will soon have enough gear to secure a spot somewhere.

I’m thinking of going rogue too, the only issue I have is leveling BS for the mace. It’s kind of a must tbh. There’s just not enough decent weapons until later in T5.

Any serious raiding guild will keep 1 rogue in the roster:
A. for better gear distribution
B. to prio on warglaives in BT (debatable, but most would give them to a rogue)
C. a good rogue in the raid will make life in Sunwell considerably easier and building one up from scratch at that point is a hassle and will take time, so better to just have one in the roster from the start of TBC and keep him/her happy enough to stay till the end of Sunwell.

Feral druids, any raid will have at least one, being a bear OT/MT that can go kitty when not needed (though after T4, in some fights bears become almost mandatory as MT over warriors). If you go with a comp with a dedicated melee group or one that is heavy on hunters, it wasn’t uncommon to add a second feral to the roster that was a dedicated kitty, to give the melee/hunter group leader of the pack for extra damage.

Love that name.
I’m aware that minmax guilds will be picky and enploy warlocks/hunters en masse.
But damn I’m not here looking for job.
And warglives? Forgot we gettin those. Sweet deal for me.
Guess if I find casual guild it won’t be a hard life.

sadly rogues are mediocre in first tiers and they do not bring something for groups, except for Sap which can easily be replaced by Sheep, cause sheep can be re-applied mid-combat if something go wrong.

That said, if you are dedicated and social, you ll be fine with whichever class. Rogues are very fun to play and have some nice gimmick gameplay, like run pick-pocket dungeons, or go old dungeons for locked chests etc.

They are definitely better that cats, but on the other hand, feral druid can also tank with that spec (and it has all the best talents for tank, is not just hybrid tank spec…)

lol what? T4 is literally BETTER than T5 for ferals. Druids are excellent main tank from the get go as they get crazy good stuff in phase 1, with amazing T4 set and Earthwarden, which also wont get replaced until T6. T5 is the part where feral tanks get the least amount of upgrades.

3 separate roles.

Tank, Healer and DPS
