You think they will be overplayed?
There’ll be no shortage. They’re good tanks, good healers, fair dps that can off-tank if required, they’re great in arena and as they can herb in flight form they make excellent farmers.
Imo prot paladins will be overplayed (at first).
My guild alone has 13 tank sign ups out of the 40ish raiders, most of them (probably about 10) being prot paladins. It’s estimated we’ll need what, like 3 tanks in a 25-man raid?
Least popular right now and not having as good advertising as Paladins - IMHO they won’t be anywhere top popular but that can be an advantage, similar to getting full T1 after a MC run
By humans don’t think so, by bots? Quite likely - but those won’t be in your dungeon or raid group.
Yep, locks and druids will be huge amount.
People doing research these days, as they are bored waiting TBC and Google says for PvP at least healer king druid.
Druid is much fun to play in TBC in any spec. So I can imagine them being popular throughout. Maybe I am biased as my main was a druid in vanilla untill WotLK and is my main again now. I just love being a furry friend
I thought so but i am not sure anymore. On Pyrewood i see mostly 3 classes leveling in the world everywhere:
1 warlock
2 hunter
3 shadowpriests
No idea about p2w boosted lazy bobs in Mara etc though.
I main a Boomkin but there are very few druids leveling at least. I expect them to be a popular choice for boosting target though. Along with the 3 fotm lock / hunter / sham.
Not sure wether to roll my hunter or druid in tbc. I guess both will be real popular.
nah druids wont be overplayed, not with how warlocks, hunters and paladins will be performing,
holy paladins, priests and shamans will still top healing
balance will be good for the spell crit
feral cat will still be good on single target but they have no aoe
yeh in pvp you’ll see a lot of restos but no more than you’ll see rogues
feral bears will be excellent tanks but people are more hyped for prot paladins and warriors will still be running with tf
all in all druids are decent but they wont be overplayed compared to other classes
I think I’m leaning towards druids more anyway. Hunters are cool and all but so many running around.
Plus I can become a bear.
Most content, just two.
The like scenario is that you’ll run a Protection Warrior/Paladin duo and have a Feral druid that can swap in for those exceptionally few fights that require 3 tanks.
Druids can outparse Shamans, Priests and Paladins though, but most healers would rather waste their mana and top off a 90% damage dealer than let the infinite mana druid do it with a single lifebloom, because their parses… Such is life.
Druid gave me such trauma in classic that I’ll never touch it again.
Then again that flight form…
No! I’v made decision!
I thought druid has been the funniest class I’ve played in classic personally.
What didn’t you like about it?
Druids much like Paladins will be very popular.
Druids are hybrids and very capable hybrids just like Paladins so even if you get 4 druids in a raid they can still cover 4 seperate roles.
I am leveling a druid for TBC atm, but i dont think there will be more than has been throughout classic. Dont see many around, and im on Dragonfang where players all rolled with TBC in mind just 2 months ago.
Cant wait. Im having a blast atm, and as I quit before TBC hit, im curious whats comming, I hear theyll be better.
To be fair tho, even people who do not intend to play Shadow at max level will most likely level AS shadow as priest leveling is slow and boring enough as it is and you REAAALLY don’t need to be Holy to heal a few 5man dungeons while leveling.
Not sure about that it’s the strongest PvP healer in arenas/BG by far they make great offtanks in pve as well as being the best gather able to herb collect gas clouds in flightform and instant flightform for that matter. Also the only class who can summon boss for raven mount I think we will see alot of druids.
Oh it was fun alright. To level up and run 5 man dungeons. Sitting at the bottom of ocean as horde of enemy is trying to find You. Then track them back as cat…
But end game wasn’t so funny.
I loved to play as feral and hated healing.
While others classes hit harder I found myself strugling to kill a mobs more and more.
In raids all that fun utility get out of window while You focus on one role.
And then I realise that even if I go hardcore farming and get all bis gear only to be merly decent.
While other class that put same amount of effort would be at the top.
That was for me of course, You enjoy what You want.
I think no. Only top DPS are usually overplayed. The majority don’t want to tank or heal or PvP.
