You shouldnt let people level alliance shamans and horde paladins in pre patch. You makr It easier for guilds to just smash through the content, so retail andys and asmongoldians can feel good about themself talking about how easy it is.
tbc is supposed to be the easiest expansion. i.e you finish the game a month in when you are done with your attunements, reps and gold. Why have horde paladins and alliance shamans have to play the game a week longer than the rest of their factions?
I really disagree with this. Attunements are really time- consuming (I know this isn’t the same as “hard”) and alt- unfriendly. Leveling still takes some time, i.e. you won’t be 70 in a day or two if you play normally, raids are harder than Classic, epsecially since we’ll be getting pre- nerf bosses, unlike Classic. Sunwell will kick people’s behind. Crafting is gonna take a lot of time since we all need primals and nethers from HC dungeons. The rep grind to even acces HC dungeons…
And then we have WoTLK, where all the above is gone. So no, TBC isn’t the easiest expansion. I’d even go as far to say it’s the hardest and most time- consuming of the 3 classic WoW- versions.
You need shamans more than paladins so Alliance would be at even higher disadvantage and just inflating Horde reroll even more (or migration to PvE and PvP Alliance monofaction realms).
Next - every boost seller would thank Blizzard for the monetization opportunities it would create. Pre-existing guilds would quickly boost their pala/shamans while getting gold or RMT from everyone else - not to mention that less players would bother with new races if they have to loose a week or two of TBC to just level them without RMT boosting.
They can boost any number of characters “for free” any day of week. Something normal player can’t do. Your change would only impact “normal” players.
The average gear of players is so much higher now than back then. I mean, T3 and legendaries
/ MoM / Edge were prestige back then. Now it feels like WotLK naxx gear level of rarity. Every raider / gold buyer have those.
Leveling will be a breeze.
The only thing that will slow down guilds is attunement and get it on the whole raid team. There is always the lazy types that will not do rhem ^^
The guilds who will be clearing tier 4 content week 1 aren’t either of those, they are private server players who’ve done this over and over again, just like classic wow phase 1.
Either way other people going faster than you should have no impact of your enjoyment of the game.
I started Classic in late phase1 and it didn’t felt like I was behind or missing something. Moreover I created my alt in Phase5 and again I felt no “behindness”.
That’s the whole “magic” of the game.
Ulduar and ICC on hard mode is definitely harder than tbc raids. On the other hand pre nerf heroics where your tank would get 2-3 shot in tbc were harder than wotlk. I guess it will depend what content you look at
so when something is time consuming it means its hard?
cause TBC is just Time consuming game
the gameplay wise it’s the smash one or 2 buttons game nothing more nothing less
Since a lot of players can’t handle the Classic leveling : it’s difficult for them in some way. Hard content doesn’t mean only ultra skilled gameplay. It could be because of RNG/Time/IQ etc…
Ex : if bodybuilding was requiring only 1 week of efforts to get muscular way more people would be.
By no means are TBC Easy…
Leveling 60-70 takes quite a while (its not done in 1 day, trust me)
Theres alot of rep to do, and the casual player wont get that done immediately… There will be alot of guilds that takes a month or so, easily, before even stepping foot into Karazhan…
