I just bought a Tiger CARD from a trustworthy source, 101% sure I did not get scammed. The card was unscratched and on the Promotions page (https://us.battle.net/wow-legacy-code/en-gb/) I SUCCESSFULLY redeemed the code to use in-game, and I’m 101% sure that I chose the correct region and realm.
When trying to redeem the code in Booty Bay, I get: “Couldn’t validate code, please try again.” I am sure that I am inserting the code properly, there is no error.
I tried to redeem the code again on the Promotions page using the code visible on the scratched card and now I see that the code was previously redeemed on my realm; the page looks different, the first attempts a few minutes earlier said ‘Successfully redeemed’ and now it says that it was already redeemed. But it doesn’t work in game. So it worked on the website but not in game.
How is this possible? There are no typos, no spaces, no underlying errors. I really don’t get it. I paid really a LOT of money for this card and it’s atrocious to see it not work. I opened a ticket but I am afraid that I won’t get any help, so I’m trying my luck here too.
Please help me out ASAP, any GM that contacts me can receive the picture of the card, the code on the card, and the code that I am using in game. This is a bug.
I got an answer from a very kind GM who clarified that the code I was inserting was for a Party Grenade toy, and not for a Spectral tiger… and I have that toy in bags now. This doesn’t make sense.
The code I am pasting comes out of a PHYSICAL SPECTRAL TIGER card. I have sent another ticket with the picture proofs of the physical card, and a GIF of me redeeming the codes. I am really speechless right now, this is a huge bug, I’m happy to see that I was not scammed by the seller but how can a code from a SPECTRAL CARD be a Grenade toy instead? Can it be a factory printer bug when they created the card…?
That’s odd, as the grenade toy is from a different expansion card set. The mount is Fires of Outland or reign of fire and the grenade is from Drums of war.
If someone did cheat the card then contact them from where ever you bought it and query it.
Yeah, given the price of the card, I don’t think it’s out of this world to think that someone took an already redeemed Spectral Tiger card and physically moved the code and scratch-off part from a worthless card. Hell, given the price of a Tiger they might even counterfeit this wholesale with actual codes from other cards (so it seems like they redeem).
I don’t think Blizzard can help you here. The relationship they had with UDE is long gone and if they were to go by “well, it looks like the code you have comes from a Tiger card”, then many people would buy redeemed Tiger cards and swap the code.
