Team Viewer

There are alot of reports going around that people are getting banned for having Team Viewer / Using Team Viewer to remotely log into the game to skip login Q’s or to collect world buffs before getting home.

Can someone please clarify if Team Viewer is against ToS - I have read everything through numerous times and I cannot see anything that would break ToS

Many Thanks

It is quite crystal clear in the EULA, that you must be in front of the PC that the game is running on.

I have just read it again can you point out the crystal clear section that states this - maybe I am skimming snd missing it?

It’s called Cloud gaming.

Tram viewer is not a cloud service and does not stream any information to a cloud server nor does it transfer game data to a cloud based server

Doesn’t matter how you want to define it, its how Blizard defines it that matters.

In any case, they have a strict policy of not confirming any interpretation of the wording in the EULA, nor confirming what programs are allowable or not. Quite simply because they are not lawyers, and players will just come back and say “But [platypus] on [date] said…”

Which is all grand and dandy - this is not a hack people are using though, it does not fall under being against EULA either - and surely a blue can cast light in this rather than have a magnitude of accounts banned - btw I have not been banned - I and the majority of my guild just don’t want to be banned for logging to get world buffs

It streams from one computer to another, that’s enough.

I appreciate your input but rather than guessing It would be nice to just clear it up and have an actual answer

You will not get one, I tried to get one on premades for BGs and no matter how much I asked I didn’t get a yes or no.

If they say yes then people will switch to another remote access program, if they say no people will use it to afk. So they will not answer.

why would it be against ToS? I read the ToS numerous of times over the years and it’s simply nowhere stated that it’s illegal.

Depends on how you use it.

Over your own LAN; Sure, then it is not.
Outside your LAN; Then you always use a Teamviewer server. So then it sure is cloud based.

Question is whether Blizzard is able to detect this, I doubt it in a legal manner.

The one thing I will say is that after adding something like this to the ToU Blizzard should get people to reconfirm they have read it.

They want a person sat in front of a PC and play the game directly on that machine. It’s in the “ToS” now.
