Teleported out of timewalking campaign

Can we please get an option to NOT get teleported out of the timewalking campaign when dinging level 60?

I’d like to be able to leave the area when I see fit, rather than being forcefully teleported to Stormwind 60 seconds after dinging 60. Thanks.

It is annoying.

Best suggestion is freeze XP when you’re like 59.9 or something, but you shouldn’t have to plan this in advance. You should just get a quest to go sync up with the current timeline and all XP gains drop to zero so you’re only doing things for mogs and story now.

I don’t like it, but I’ve grown accustomed to it. I agree that having to plan ahead is annoying, but you can freeze experience at 59 and stay in Chromie time.

Blizzard want the player base to play Dragonflight. Otherwise people would just ignore the new content and level to 70 in old expansions, making the new one basically: useless for leveling.

Cheers.

You cam’t level in the old worldpast 60…

I know that.
My point was: you get automatically teleported out of TW as soon as you hit level 60 because you are supposed to continue your adventures in DF.

If people were allowed to continue TW past level 60 than there would be no point having a leveling zone in DF would it ?

Yes, I had that happening to me, several times, one of them caused my Forsaken Hunter to not finish the WoD garrison quest that would had grant him the HS.

It is what it is.

Cheers.

You can just a lot and i mean a lot slower as the quest give really bad XP .

AGREED !

while we’re at it
here’s some outside of the box thinking

‘Congratulations on reaching level 60
you can continue enjoying chromie’s time, however you will no longer gain experience until you return to the current timeline’

There you go
somebody tweet this to whoever it may concern at Blizzard entertainment.

I don’t ask for more XP from the old content. I just ask that they don’t port me out before I decide to leave the area.

And at what point will you decide to leave the area ?
After 5 minutes ?
10 minutes ?
A whole day ?

Tbh if given the chance, I would had stayed with my characters in the old zones,so long as I could.
The reason is simple: you level up faster in a area that you already know than in a new area in which you have to find your way in.
So this could be easily exploited.

Edit: also Chromie gives you a warning that while you are having fun in the past the present needs you at level 59. Players have an entire level to finish what they do and use the scroll provided to go back.
After the first times, this happened to my characters, I just got over it.

Cheers.

yeah. It should pop a quest saying “go speak with Chromie” and it should reward something for dinging 60, not much just something. Maybe a nice weapon to start into the current expac with, something like a 275 item level maybe.

While it is not the end of the world, and I have had it happen to 7 characters so far, I find it immersive breaking and completely unecessary. If I want to finish the questlines I have started, that is up to me. Sure, I can go back after being ported to SW, but what is the point of forced teleportation anyways? There is absolutely no need for it to be forced.

Unless they don’t want players that don’t have DF to remain in Chrome TW forever.
Their accounts are capped at level 60.

For example if I was playing my UK account, that doesn’t have DF, I could now play all past expansions in a level 60 character, with Chromie time activated for level 60 rewards, instead of having to do them for low level rewards, without Chromie Time.
That way, I could unlock appearances, I don’t have and get a good amount of gold as well.
Which than would lead me to not upgrade the account. Which isn’t what Blizzard wants.

At the end of the day they want to sell expansions. Not, having people stuck playing old expansions.

Cheers.

I mean, I just wait for timewalking week because it’s so much faster than running DF dungeons… and it’s every third week :joy_cat:

TW is my favourite way of leveling.
For example during TBC TW, I could play as a Tank, Healer or DPS. I knew the dungeons back and forth. Played across 25 characters, 12 classes without any problems.

Now DF first dungeon quest on my BE Rogue: Ruby Life Pools.
Open YouTube, watch guide, memorize, chose specific dungeon so I don’t get one that I haven’t studied yet, enter.
After finishing, only a couple of XP bars :unamused:

Cheers.

How on earth does the teleportation prevent people from finishing the old world?

Again, I am not asking to be kept in Chromie time. I am asking to not be forcefully teleported out of wherever I am when I ding 60. I can, without problems, go back to where I was and continue questing there if I want to already, and for that reason I should not need to be teleported away. It’s immersive breaking and inconvinent.

Do you actually think it is not possible to finish old zones once you have dinged 60? It sort of sounds that way.

they don’t want you leveling in the older and more superior expansions

You can’t level in the old world past 60… so why stress about teleporting people away from there?

It doesn’t.
You can go back there and finish the quests. However you won’t get the gold, reward ilv of a level 60.

Ok, let’s put your idea to use.

A player after hiting level 60 only leaves the area after he’s done questing and doesn’t get any XP.

Now let’s pick my UK account that doesn’t have DF purchased. What prevents me to stay on that expansion indefinitely, doing level 60 quests ?
After all, according to your suggestion, if I can leave whenever I want, what prevents me from staying there indefinitely ?
I’m getting level 60 rewards, the mobs give a good fight, I might just stay there indefinitely.
It can be easily exploited.

Yes you can.
However without Chromie mode, the mobs will be one shot, most of the times (yes there’s people that complain about that).
The ILV rewards you get there are low value and the gold is ridiculous low, compared to the new areas in DF.

For example let’s pick my Pandaren Monk and MoP.
Chromie time: level 60 rewards and quests that award gear for his current level.
Without Chromie: low level rewards and quests that award low ilv gear.

Cheers.

You aren’t getting any Chromie time rewards after dinging! It is as simple as, once you ding 60, chromie time is turned off, WITHOUT teleporting you away!

By your logic this is already exploitable, because you can just leave SW once you have been teleported, and go back to where you were ported away.

How hard is this to understand? I am requesting that they stop forcefully teleporting people away, not that chromie time continues. I don’t care that XP, gear and whatever gains goes away. I just want to choose when to leave the actual area.
