Just curious, I took the portal today to Stormwind, then after to Donogal, and it spawned me in the middle of the waters in Azsuna, killing me, anyone else experienced this? I saw several corpses there, is this a beta? I am unsure.
Side Note: Yes I have reported it, just curious if it has happened to many others, or just a small amount of us.
Interesting, didn’t happen to me but a friend of mine had a similarily weird teleport issue.
We were doing Grim Batol and after Grim Batol we we’re doing Siege of Boralus. My friend died during the last boss fight in Siege and after we killed the boss, he released.
The weird part about is that he didn’t respawn in Siege, he respawned in front of the last boss in Grim Batol.
Oh dear!!! You can’t help but smile when we have these weird bugs but I hope they fix it soon!
This happened to me right now on my death knight! I took the portal to Stormwind at the entrance to Caverns of Time and ended up in the sea just south of Badlands and north of Redridge Mountains. I wonder what more bugs there are in this small patch besides these.
It’s a 20 year anniversary. This is kinda feels like a Vanilla bug - disappearing boats, dying in Silithus and respawning in WF… etc., so it is quite authentic!
Yep twice in a row with two different toons. Dropped into the fatigue zone on the east side of the Eastern Kingdoms off the coast.
Yes, every time you take the portal from Tanaris to Stormwind it puts you in the ocean just outside Badlands with fatigue so if you go afk you will eventually die. I also tried teleporting using my mage from Tanaris and I ended up at the same spot. When I used teleport from when I spawned outside Badlands, the teleport worked fine there.

edit: and if you go to recover the body as a spirit, fatigue begins and when you get to the body the ‘spirit dies’ and you enter a loop, the only way is to return to the cemetery and recover with the Spirit Healer
lets hope they never spread the blood plague!

If I remember right, it’s some kind of auto fix when the portal/teleport doesn’t work, it drops you in a certain spot.
Had it with my mage twice already today, likely lag/server load related.

Happened to me today, took portal from Tanaris to SW and it dropped me in the water outside Badlands. Then later took portal from Shrine of Seven Stars in Pandaria and it dropped me over Fenris Isle in Silverpine Forest
Had this before, only I got ported to Westfall, lucky I am an engi on main 
Maaaaybe… all this is a hint from an upcoming event. Azeroth had enough of us…

Maybe it was me deploying an unstable portal on top of the portal and you clicked on that… 
This happened in Classic when you tried to access TBC content but hadn’t bought the latest expansion. Maybe the game thinks you don’t have a certain expansion installed.
Thats why my chars were dumped outside Undercity when they hadn’t done the BFA expansion. The game is having a flip out when you don’t appear to have one of the expansions or done the expansion. Just maybe.
I just had it again when taking the portal to SW from Caverns. Ended up in the sea near swamp of sorrows fatigued :))
So far I’ve found using portal in Tanaris to SW drops you in the ocean outside Badlands
Portal from Pandaria to SW drops you in Silverpine Forest
Portal from Shattrath to SW goes to Vash
Just had this when taking the portal from Pandaria to Stormwind, appeared in the air above one of the small islands in the lake in Silverpine Forest and died when hitting the ground!
So far it seems to be portals to Stormwind that are affected:
Caverns of Time portal to SW drops you in the ocean south of Badlands
Shrine of Seven Stars portal to SW drops you over Fenris Isle in Silverpine Forest
Shattrath portal to SW drops you in Vashj’ir
Dornogal portal to SW drops you in the ocean in Azsuna
