Patch note link?
Temporal going is bigâŚâŚ thatâs concerning. Any other defensive increases to compensate?
For those interested.
Removal of temporal effectively reduces arcanes ability to soak damage. And the arcane version of overcharged barrier is âŚâŚpoor.
Granted barriers drop fast during combat. But a CD reduction or similar baked in âtemporalâ element to arcane barrier being removed would be better I think.
âAfter prismatic shield is depleted you gain temporal shielding, causing x% damage taken within X seconds to be re-applied as shield which can be discharged at your enemyâ
Something imagined. Pretty poor PvP talent change tbh.
Blazing barrier PvP talent(?) already increases damage 800% to attackers. Does this stack with the 100% reflect?
5second shields would also provide little to no benefit to DoTs over a longer duration. It would have ended and the Dots continue long after.
Disappointed with this change.
i think overpowered barriers is busted
but i donât like when they take away spells/keybinds from me for more passives⌠i like to have stuff to press⌠or at least a choice
like, why is mass invisibility still in the game, thats a giga useless talent and the pvp talent too
but then they remove temporal? i donât get it
Are they serious?
They give Frost an AoE nuke + slow when Ice Barrier is consumed, surely Prismatic Barrier should be a big AoE nuke and a massive knockback.
wait what ? remember reading smth different for arcane barrier, i heard, invisibility immune to dmg for 3 seconds
oh wait WHAT
i didnât read the part where the barrier only last 5 SECONDS man, they are completely insane with this⌠how do u even predict it to make it work
blizzard simply HATE mages.
Overpowered Barrier+ Blazing barrier - if it will reflect ranged damage as well - thatâs very good.
Ring of flame - this talent just died immediately for the arena, on the bg it will also be useless because it replaces the ring of frost. 6 seconds of freezing versus 3 seconds of disorientation. :)))
Alternative time - super nerf. Everyone is dispelling it now anyway. The mage will clearly look even more like paper.
Ignition burst - as I understand it, now 2 scrunches can proc with it, which is good in principle. But why did they decide that it was a great idea to make the class dependent on the pros in pvp.
only if barrier breaks, barrier last 5 seconds. useless imo, unless they remove the âbarrier last 5 secondsâ
Thatâs what Iâm saying. Itâs went from 1min duration (giving AMPLE time for it to soak up dots or wear away nicely) for players to hold onto an almost broken barrier to trigger the buff. Should you wish to do that.
But 5 seconds!? Come onâŚ. You use it. And potentially just get hit with a CC and by the time itâs done. Shield goneâŚâŚ 20s CD wait for next remaining.
The design of this needs looked at. Iâd seriously recommend everyone provides feedback on the PTR forum.
Both frost and fire barriers provide âpassiveâ damage.
Prismatic provides time warp, if you have no other CDs available during that tiny window. Itâs useless.
My biggest issue is the 5s durationâŚ.
Even reducing it to 20s from 1 min would be a hassle to play around. But from 1 min to 5 sec. You basically now have to save your barrier for burst damage which negates the purpose of saving barrier to remove snares.
Very confusing. I understand the barrier buff concept. But not at 5seconds.
Maybe prismatic barrier should have a % return of damage taken baked into it as they removed temporal?
In soloshuffle, usually kill in 2-3 seconds, health drops from 100% to 0% during this time. Therefore, 5 seconds is quite enough to use it completely. Moreover, it will be about 40% of mages health, and in case of fire mage, he will also take away the same 40% from the target that caused this damage. Thatâs 80% of the profit. Therefore, only 5 seconds to turn on the barrier at the right moments.
Now letâs imagine, letâs say, an overpowering barrier+ a fireheart and a warrior + bladestorm âŚ
such an optimistic take.
anyone who ACTUALLY plays mage know this is a bad change.
You donât play as a mage at a high level and have no idea how he works in PVP. 2200 rating in RBG :))) Donât talk nonsense. These changes have great application in the arena.
yeah, but in 2 months ppl praising it will have already quit, and ill be the one standing and playing mage for another 20 years.
