Testing Adding Damage Reduction to PvP

First time i realy loved playing warrior. Didnt die in first two seconds. Maybe there was bit too much dampening but i loved it!

did you see the awesome buffs to ele shaman? they should help them in pve and pvp.
(hint: there’s actually a pvp semi-nerf hidden in there, see if you can spot it mister balance genius)

I was surprised to see the test going on past weekend. Looking forward to hear some news about what conclusions have been drawn from this test by the devs.

Hopefully we can get some good adjustments to the aura to fix several of the issues.

Dude, hunter is an easiest target to kill in a game. No saves, no speeds, no jumps, nothing, just put him in a target and press your buttons. If you can’t do that - is doesn’t mean it’s a same level threat as a shadowpriest or a shaman. No hunter can do 5000 damage in 1 second. Shamans can. Questions?

Hunters can dish out more damage than a sham in PvP.
Although it is fair since shaman has a completely broken toolkit atm.

I loved it, intense fights that require skill. No more bursting somebody in 2 seconds.

It was a tiny bit too much, maybe a bit less and we will have fun PvP again.

I have hit a mage for 2.8k chimera followed by a 1.4k autoshot into a 1.2k multishot. That’s 5400 damage in two GCDs, without berserk and all the while my wind serpent was mauling the poor guy.

You do realize hunters have the highest burst in the game by a mile, right?

This test was bad, if you reduce the dmg the heal must be reduced by the exact same amount.
Fight was boring.
Shaman are broken af with or without dmg reduction. But with this reduction, they are unkillable panzer.

Was a bad idea. Unskill meta which is only about “mana drain” the healers …

Yes 50% was too, but they need try test 30% or 25%.
Now is just press your bigest damage button regarless using other abilities.
Where is fun? No need use mortal strike, drain mana, assist to kill. Cc kick at right time, debuff…just spam. so sad

Aimed shot 1000-1100 dmg, chimera shot same, multi shot between 900-1000 dmg all this with the dmg reduction aura on my hunter alt with stv xbow and bad gear. Ah and 900 ambush on sl lock.
Anyone thinking it should go back to pre aura dmg is missing some brain as well as common sense.

Let’s be honest: nerfing individual spec is not going to happened risking ppl quit en masse. Next best thing is dmg reduction aura for pvp.

well you can see it every game. just talk to the NPCs in your capital city that bring you to AB or WSG. Enjoy the Hunter and Shadowpriest phase

Just tried playing an STV after reverting the changes on my Resto Druid, damn lol what a waste of time.

Everybody dying in sub 2 sec literally. It can’t stay like this, unplayable. Absolute joke.

Find the golden middle of both versions.

And yet some are claiming the “healer” meta is what killed PvP in this game. I guess healers are expected to see the future to stand a chance to do their job.

Yes it is a good idea to nerf all classes regardless of how garbage their damage is in PvP and make em hit like wetnoodles. In addition to making hybrid casters/shamans unkillable for the majority.
God how delusional people are to believe this was even a good test to begin with.

It always has been better to nerf individual specs in PvP to improve braincells rather than having overtuned runes, MSW, Mutilate, VP, Penance, Lava Burst and etc.
People didn’t sign up for a retail PvP 2.0, because it is a garbage design.

Balancing classes around raids/PvE is the dumbest thing period, you hit mobs/bosses only for 2-3hours max. and it doesn’t matter howmuch you deal aslong you kill the boss with help.
Compare this with PvP realms where grinding and farming is close to a PvP activity, wPvP happening at any corner + STV/BGs ontop of that.
