Testing Same-Faction Battlegrounds in Burning Crusade Classic

What I don’t understand is I saw lot of Horde on this forum, on Reddit, and in-game, ready to support Alliance to push faction balance and pressure Activision.

But It seem most Alliance player are just here to yell at us. They laughed at us where we had 1h30 queue time, from Vanilla to TBC ? They think we all play for racials and to make their life miserable ?

Obviously it will happen at some point guys, what did you expect ?

Who are them? I saw only several people like that, the rest of you are happy about faction disbalanse after adding mono faction bgs

“alliance is fine but I have to play horde” is the main zugzug mentality.
“alliance is not fine but horde gives me most of the money so why give a f*ck” is blizztard mentality.
There’s no much hope if it’s like this unfortunately…

Yep, when classic launched, and there were 0 alliance or horde characters, I purposefully chose Horde because I can see in the future!

The 2 hour of Quee it’s a problem , i cannot chose a faction because with another i have the problem of to wait

I don’t speak about people like you but rerollers who killed balance

https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/horde-and-the-5-stages-%F0%9F%98%AD/290907literally 99% of the alliance was talking down on horde because we had 2 hour ques. “we’re the superior race mentality” get real. Dont only think about youself.

And now same thing about horde. But the difference is that horde problems were created by players, but alliance problems created by blizzard because they solved horde problems in cost of alliance faction and of course zugzugs are really happy about this, even twice

This is great news! I guess this also means that in later phases, if alliance were to have a tough time finding people for raiding etc, we will then have cross faction PvE enabled, so we dont have to spend much time doing that either? Anything else would be kinda hypocritical

How is it really horde that created the issue? i think most people that did go Horde did it for friends and such really only think like 10% went tryhard because of racials. But once again Alliance dosent really get effected because you still have ur “instant” bg que. Stay bad

Yes it’s instant, but what about faction in general? Alliance has less and less groups, guilds. Ah becomes more poor. Open world becomes more and more unplayable. No effect hah okay. And racials are not the reason of disbalance that’s for sure. I enjoy horde players nihilism. You know everything, stop playing a fool

And then what if he is right? You think blizzard controls which faction players want to play on? They can only fix major issues (and horde bg q time is OBVIOUSLY one). So stop crying over population because there is nothing they can do about it. Play on a pve server if outdoor pvp is annoying you, and fix your problem yourself.

They can incentivise balance, by offering alliance more bonuses and perks. Reducing horde q times is just one more incentive to play horde. There’s absolutely no reason to play alliance at all now.
If you were given 2 houses, one in your current place and one in Central NYC, at the same price, and all your friends could be there, where would you choose?

Alliance is mostly played for pve (because draenei hit, gnome intel, human spirit) stop giving us that crap about “no reason to play alliance now” as if bg were the only thing alliance players do. Alliance players are mostly pve and your argument is nothing but bs.

You mention at the start of your post that one of the key pieces of feedback you received was:

“players want to continue to play on their chosen side of the faction conflict”

So let’s take you at face value (others wouldn’t) and assume Blizzard actually cares about the faction balance, wants it to be fair, even and wants it to continue that way throughout the lifespan of Classic.

Problem is, every TBC private server that has ever existed was eventually forced to take measures to preserve faction balance. Be it extra XP and gold for Alliance players, fancy mounts, or reserving 50% of server capacity for Alliance so Horde had to wait if they wanted to play, if left to their own devices the playerbase will be always overwhelmingly Horde.

And as retail has shown us, once a faction becomes dominant, it snowballs.

So Blizzard, in their infinite wisdom decided doing nothing was the best play, until I assume the sub loss and forum rage was so much they couldn’t ignore it anymore.

And Blizzard’s incredible idea, from a company who’s mission statement is “Dedicated to creating the most epic entertainment experiences ever”? Shove you in the opposite faction’s base with a crappy mask and a tabard. So EPIC.

Such nuanced and intelligent game design that really fixes the core of the problem!

Why are you incentivizing the dominant faction? Check any PVP server in Europe, they are ALL Horde dominated. Why does one faction get to enjoy the benefits of having the most numbers (farming safely in the open world, always winning the world pvp events, bigger pool of players to recruit from) without any of the drawbacks?

And more importantly, how can you feel this is good for the long term health of the game?

Great change keep it up till ally crybabies’ tears dry!

Faction change is a bad solution. What if people only PvP on one character, they would have to change them all. Also the faction change system would need a complete overhaul.

Why? You cannot faction change if you have another character on the same faction, so a system that changes them all at once would need to be implemented. Which means testing and lots of other costs and lots of players would not want to.

Technically it’s more complicated I agree. But it’s the only healthy solition for game to fix faction imbalance

The faction imbalance is not a factor, Blizzard have never cared about it, and remember, this only affects PvP BG players, not the whole player base. People overlook that little fact.

Faction imbalance is the reason of 2h horde queues can’t imagine even arguing this
