why is thrall in the blasted lands in the past version of it? he’s hanging out with Kum’isha the collector.
wasn’t he in org basically from vanilla to MoP?
He’s moved with Expansions… I remember him in Orgrimmar, with Vol’jin, in 2008.
In Cataclysm, Orgrimmar got rebuilt & the Warchiefs’ “hut” got moved. He also moved around in Cataclysm as he did the Earthen Ring thing.
As far as Shadowlands goes, we had to free him from Torghast…
i know he’s moved about, but when was he ever in blasted lands prior to WoD? im not talking about current blasted lands either, i mean if you talk to the bronze dragon and go back in time to pre WoD. hes just there.
Pre-WoD Dark Portal was 2 teams of strategists - one Horde, one Alliance - preparing for the assault on Hellfire Peninsula - that did NOT involve Thrall.

Really…?? Why don’t I remember that? He was never there when I originally did the Raze’likh Quest Chain… which was pre-Cataclysm (I had to re-do it, post-Cataclysm, too).

lol thats what i mean. i dont remember him being there pre MoP either (i never played mop till end). so why is he there, and in such an unusual location too!
Right - looks like only the Dark Portal & Nethergarde Keep (Alliance) areas get reverted, the rest is still WoD NPC’s.
I’m at Kum’isha & I see no Thrall - could it be that you didn’t finish all the Quests for the Pre-WoD content, on the char. in question? I see Maraad hanging around in another part of the zone (and I completed them all), so…
im fairly sure ive done all quests in game (or pretty much all) on this toon. might be missing some which start from dropped items.
even if i had missed some quests though, i dont recall thrall being involved with the area. odd…
Now that I’ve flown around a bit - ganking Rares - I can’t see Maraad, so…

i’ve found while rare hunting in the past that most rares dont show in the WoD timeline. maybe this is coincidence, but when i’ve found 1 rare (the tree?) in WoD timeline and nothing else, then go to the past and basically find every other rare (except tree) i do wonder if there is an issue about rare spawns between the 2 timelines?
Nope, he went through the dark portal.
Thrall “resigned” in Cataclysm & Garrosh was Warchief for Cataclysm & MoP.
he went through the dark portal first at the start of WoD, then again sometime between giving us doom hammer in Legion, and saurfang going to find him in BfA.
but all this is later. bronze dragon blasted lands is pre WoD. so again, not sure why he’s there in the past.
unless its just a broke bug.
Might have to do something with the pre patch for WoD or something since thrall was there then and gave you a quest to go and warn saurfang and it was at the location where the collector stood so the phases are probably overlapping.

No, he went trough the Dark Portal in TBC. In the Garadar questline, involving Garrosh.
That was a fun chain.
