It was truly amazing to say the least. The mystery of the Jailers true plan wasnt reveiled, but i guess that must have been epic too! What he wanted, i have no idea about, but that had to been something awesome, what he is doing now as a …Robot…? i have also no idea about but i have to guess again that he did something …bad? i mean he took control over Anduin, and made him stab the Kyrian covenant leader so she was hurt for a whole cinematic! And apparently, all he was doing was protecting us all from an even bigger and badder guy?! WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT?! I just cant wait to see what next mystery guy Blizzard will reveal for us this time. Maybe a purple spacefart to symbolize the Void?? Epic times await us champions of the light/void/azeroth/draenor/shadowlands/outland/northrend/pandaland/Kulthiras/Zanda aw screw it…
the end cinematic is lil screwed, heck there is even a theory that the jailer was dominated him self, buy the Primus hehe.
well also half of the cinematics you se is something that happend in the past, what heck almost makes the other 4 look more bad than Zoval him self.
His motivation is not well explained, but its a no brainer, the guy used to be the Arbiter, he experienced the lives of all the souls that lived during the Black empire and before that. He lived the madness the old gods inflicted on the worlds they corrupted. The actions of Fel demons, light zealots and nature infested hives, even the impartial titan justice (experiments done in Uldir). Pretty much everything. That painted a clear picture in his head, it’s what drove him to decided to use the engine of the First ones and rewrite reality and its what got him bound by domination runes and banished in the Maw.
From there he just pursued his goals, through his agents and allies, playing 4D chess, morphing the souls of the monsters banished in the Maw into an army, his army, the Mawsworn. He broke his chains, and became the Jailer, the entity behind the Lich King and the voice that persuaded mages to join him and form the Cult of the Damned. He architected the fall of the Shadowlands, all the way to sending a tortured titan soul to shut down the current Arbiter, having the Anima draught fueling his Torghast tower to expand the Maw. Most of the tainted new kyrians were souls touched by the scourge, something the Kyrian never noticed/realized.
Overall all I’m very surprised we actually had a real chance at defeating him. Must be the LFR difficulty. Or wait, LFR is not open yet? You haven’t actually defeated him yet? But you just enjoyed the end game video without going through the Zereth mortis experience and the Sepulcher progression? Boy you have been spoiled hard. To bad. #feelsbad for you
I guess I have no brain then, because I find that anything but obvious. Indeed, I get so many mixed signals when looking at the story that my conclusion is still that the devs didn’t have a unified vision of the story at all, or changed it so much that it became muddled in development. And in the end it doesn’t matter. A good story badly told is still a waste of my time, much more so than a bad story well told.
