I can’t tell you how happy I am that we’re getting pet specs back. For the type of content I do I only really use ferocity pets, maybe very occasionally cunning ones, so having my choices narrowed to roughly a third of the pets in the game was painful. This is a game changer, literally.
Also, thank you for giving marksmanship hunters their pets back. I don’t push the sort of content where I need the damage buff from Lone Wolf and I was dreading the idea of not being able to have my buddies with me on my MMS alt.
(Only pet-related thing on my wishlist now is making Howl of the Pack Leader more customisable, so you’re not stuck with those three animals and can use your own pets instead.)

So long as they DO NOT TOUCH the petless changes, I am all for it, and this is how it should have been done in the first place. If we can keep the pet utility without the pet and get the eagle, I, as a pvp’r will be VERY happy.
Now they can revert the retarded changes they made to the spec rotation wise and finally give trick shot duration of like 6 seconds or something, so we can fit in a few globals instead of this retarded one shot, multi, one shot, multi… Give us Fury or BMs AoE mechanic (fury is better).
i am not that happy. they made a choice node for us to keep our pet, but it is as before. the talent will be worthless in terms of dps. idk what is that hard for blizz to make the pet damn relevant…make the pet be on par with the eagle, what’s so damn hard?..but no, they will make the pet playstyle make less damage, as always in the last many years…
What is “relevant” to you? Honestly…
It’s MM, not BM or SV. What can they really do with the pet for spec that revolves around sniping and special shots??? The pet has ALWAYS, ALWAYS been asthetic for MM, lets not start pretending it done something for us in previous itertations of the spec, because it hasn’t since its inception.
You got the pet back, where it can do some damage, which over time may actually be on par with the extra damage that you only get a chance to inflict off ONE ability as your other choice node. Calm down, all is good for you.
Edit: Oh, can we not mention world quests and aggoring mobs, because we all know you aren’t gearing or truly playing the game for world activities. Let’s keep it a buck, where things matter in this game, your pet matters less (for MM).
Factually false
Utility being tied to the pet was always a thing we just used to not get to lose damage to have the pet out.
Hunter as a class is a pet class.
Blatantly false info trying to get your idea to be right.
Do you also say Melee weapons have not been a thing for MM from its inception?
There is lots of things they can do because that is not just what the spec revolves around.
Quoting me to argue points that you KNOW are true.
However if you cannot understand it, let me make it ABUNDANTLY CLEAR: Mechanically for the spec the pet has NEVER done anything for MM.
Ok, have a nice day.
First thing first there pets was a mechanic for MM it self if you need to think of it this way it is a permanent Dot on target. (if you want to make it real simplistic)
We then have had a ton of utility on the pets all the time it was a minor period of time we had utility on the spec and not on the pets but that was because of lone wolf not because pets did not bring it still.
When MM had Bloodlust for the first time it was from pets
When MM had Combat Ress it was because of pets i can go on but if you do not respond to those two you are not going to for the rest.
You wasted a total of six combined typed out lines, reaching…
Nothing you said makes any sense or is in any way, shape or form a counter argument to what I said.
Have a nice day.
Maybe you should go and actually learn about MM you have a lot to learn
Ok, just answer this (if you actually are able to mentally process this), what ability in our gameplay loop do we lose access to without a pet??? Not including silly answers like ‘utility’. I mean like BM and SV lose KC from the jump along with maaany other abilities, hell half of SVs bar will go grey without a pet, but yeah answer…
