It depends, it is a positive for many people but also has a negative.

Combat animations are synced for DW. This means that while the tmog option is easy to implement for out of combat, in combat animations are a problem. Things like syncing animations to white hits, syncing the correct attack speed, and working out how weapons with different speeds would impact the animation.

I suspect that this is the reason it has not been implemented yet. It is not easy/simple to introduce it, and there is no clear way to do that.

Actually there is tens of toys who turn you into 2hander wielding model like the Kobys toy and all animations work just fine with it , same for Holy paladins that have Crusader strike and even a shield attack that works when Tmoged into their 2handed artifact weapon , then if we take any caster they all can Duel wield or use 2hander all abillities work fine with any you choose because its only an animation of the ability the only thing that differs is “Auto attack”.

There is only positive , negative doesn’t exists here because it doesn’t change any performance or forces you to do so just like the option to Tmog each shoulder separately.
Stormstrike 2hander animation exists in the game as it was just changed to “Requier duel wielding” in cata i think , also there is no negative for paladins to Tmog to their 2hander mace artifact.
The only thing they need is to make animation for Lava lash and reenable Stormstrike 2hander animation(Still exists) rest of our abilities are used from 2hander.

I think you misunderstand, my comment was not related to animations per se. I know that changing animations of an ability like SS or LL to work with 2h is not a problem.

Yeah there is no problem with tmoging 2h to 1h, since it does not create a conflict with animations, just a sped up cycle.

Neither that proves a problem. Lava lash can use a regular animation, since there is no “off hand” per se, and same thing with SS. Those abilities are single attack so I do not think they would pose a problem.

This is the problem that I am referring to.

There is no easy way to “convert” an animation with 2h weapon to “work” with DW auto attack. By working I mean to actually have the animation of the 2h correspond to the white auto attack hits, especially if weapons with different speeds are used.

Sure you can say that “I do not care if the auto attack animation matches the combat outcomes” and I would agree. But this does not mean that there are people that immersion is their primary concern and would hate how clunky that would seem.

Again, mainly playing devil’s advocate over here, but I understand why it is not yet implemented, since there is no “easy” way to do so, without feeling clunky.

True , but then again same can be said for say about Frost DKs that got their option to even use and not only Tmog into 2hander in legion , i think its only because blizz didn’t want to pay too much attention to it still , we can just look how Holy paladins auto attack works with 1hander/shield (Faster) then the 2hander artifact auto attack when Tmoged into it should work/look the same.
