Even if I tried to bypass our restriction, like a sneaky Rogue, our system wonāt be able to. Dying like this, due to a technical issue, is maybe one of the worst ways of losing our character. All I can do is to encourage you to create a new one; perhaps try a new class. But of course, I would understand if your heart isnāt in the right place for it. You can always transfer to a non-Hardcore realm.
Indeed, exceptional recovery can be made by our developers in case of a DDoS attack. However, it doesnāt seem to be the case for the last few days. It does seem the issue came from your end. As we donāt want this situation to repeat, I strongly advise you to check our article regarding some troubleshooting for your World of Warcraft connection.

So the crash on August 1st wasnāt a DDoS attack or Blizzardās fault ā it was just a huge coincidence where hundreds of people happened to have internet connection issues at the same time

Random disconnects stilll happen in waves. I wonder what kind of work Blizzard is not doing today, that is so important they donāt have time to communicate with their community. You are slowly killing this game by completely ignoring the issue, Blizzard

Been reading these posts for months and I while I agree with the note provided during HC character creation, I find it amusing that my account, which was created back in early 2005, has tens of days of game time added by Blizzard to compensate for the lost time during multiple server outages or similar problems, yet they canāt even provide information nowadays regarding the DDoS attacks.
Though the shame is on us that weāre still using their services after the Activision-Blizzard immigration, it has just been bottom line business since.
