Affliction damage right now ( both single target and multi dot ) is on the weaker side of the distribution. I agree with you Bloodlock. No bad faith, no bias, no emotions from my side. This is simply a conclusion about cold hard facts.
If you compare modern affliction with the damage profiles we used to have in Cata/wrath, MoP/WoD… or even shadowlands. In intrinsic terms, it is qutie far behind.

They are not even buffing the dot Damage… like the base dot damage, you know : the core identity of the spec itself.
It seems incredible but that is true. Affliction warlocks don’t even shine in battle when the terms of engagement should favor them… I mean heavily favor them.
A multi dotting affliction lock in a 3/4 target scenario should out damage priests, moonkins and warriors by a solid +25% at the very least.
Agree, that used to be our ‘advantage’ or bread and butter. Seems affliction is hard to get right for Blizz, we’re either too op or too weak.
Thing is, in PVP, you actually needed to be able to play well to compete but if could play well there were definite advantages. I can’t help but feel a little light on dot spreading, ohh how I loved the old soul swap mechanic!

i dont get it why the keep nerfing im playing demo in solo shuffle and i cant stand and cast against two melees im perma dead everytime and its impossible to kite melees now with 1000x mobility spells
I’ve never actually Pvp’ed on my Warlock and I’m always destro, so it would be interesting to see how it plays, but I know with the slow cast on the Chaos Bolt, you’re open to be stunned/silenced etc.
I’d probably go affli for PvP, but I know it does need some love.
