Thanks for MM nerfs - back to C tier where they belong with the other trash

I noticed the same. I was hitting around 27k tick before nerf in S2 gear but now 15k average. On plate 10k so its like 6-7% of a warriors HP and thats with 2set + S3 gear… Its INSAAAAAANE how far this spec has fallen, and delusional people think its OK. No one plays MM anymore its a ghost town spec. Its has bottom rep along with frost DK.

And this Scheixanter random guy tell us to get 2set and we are fine… He doesnt want competition with many people playing MM like S2 so he can be highest rated hunter in 2s its easy to spot that.

Seems they removed pvp modifier completely. The only thing we had was some pesky dmg, now nothing… All classes has more dmg, mobility, defensives, selfheals than us.

Where can I notify blizz about pvp modifier?

It HAS to have 1 shot potential. Our spec is dead if we dont 1 shot. It is a burst spec similar to Sub. The difference between Sub & MM was you didnt die in stun lock so you casuals had oppurtinity to press buttons. But I understand you all have low IQ so keep crying about a dead spec.

If a spec is reliant on pressing two buttons n having a high chance of oneshotting people, that spec doesnt deserve to be viable n should be put into the full scale rework que behind frost DK. You talk as if MM isnt viable at all using last season as comparison for “how MM should be” just like some ret palas from retpocalypse went around saying “we´re finally viable”.

All MM hunters seemingly keep bringing up their lack of survival when in reality they have quite decent survival cd´s now a days, the feign death change is a 90% 3s wall on a short cd for example which can mitigate absurd amonts of damage if used properly. But yes if you backpaddle while facetanking like a blood dk im sure you´ll feel squishy.

Compare MM to say feral n the MM will genuinely look like a blood dk. The huge majority of the MM playerbase only touches MM whenever it can global people from 80 yards n because of that we´re stuck with backpaddlers who dont even have their defensives keybinded since they´ve never needed them before.

MM is in mail armor n isnt magically taking more damage than any other spec it just cant press its big defensive through stuns, thats the same argument DH´s uses. “we need to do 3x everyones damage because we die in a stun”

For MM to be playable it needs high burst in-demand and high dmg sustain otherwise it cant survive. It needs huge dmg to pressure people away from us, if we do not have a threathing dmg profile people will just sit on us and train us and we will eventually die high damp no matter how good you can kite. We have worst defensives of all, and if we cant pressure people with dmg we are free kill.

About the rework you are right. The classes that were already in good shape got rework like rogue, dh, mage, ret. The specs that needed it the most was fdk, mm and enc and to not rework the specs that needed the most is a huge disrespect from Blizztard. These should of been in line first.

Currently if you check 3v3 rep there are even more frost dk than MM. 22fdk against 19mm 1.8k+ it just shows how far behind in the dust those specs are, MM even more since it has lower rep than fdk.

There is no time for humor in this thread. This is a serious debate about MM existence and the spec needs heavy lifting to make the spec work and be a good, complete spec. If you want to act like a clown with your ‘humor’ go find another place. This is not the place!

You have probably mained hunter before and then left it since your opinion is that hunter is trash. Many have done that. I have been on the brink of leaving it, and maining another class aswell. I agree with you that we need better defensives, our defensives currently are garbage. We can still die in turtle which makes it trash.

Turtle has to be 2x charges on 2minCD like we had deterrence back then. It also needs to heal the hunter back to full health. I would love to be able to attack when using my main defense, like all other classes can do.

I cant tell if you´re actually joking or if you´re genuinely dead serious about 2x turtle that maxes your health as a suggestion, sure. do that but nerf damage by 70% and mobility cut to about 1/3 of what you currently have, deadzone readded to where you cant hit targets in melee, range capped at 45 yards with mastery no longer giving range.

Hunters survivability is not bad at all i dont know why people keep saying that, if you cant utilize the kit to its potential n therefor demand to global people so you dont have to use your kit thats a you issue n has nothing to do with the kit.

You keep saying that turtle doesnt give immunity to damage, correct but it also cant be removed by any means, you´re clearly not looking to create a balanced game in the slighest you just want the class you play in particular to be in an absurdly overtoned state to the point where you can unbind everything from your keyboard n just have snipershot, rapidfire n aimed shot on your actionbar, snipershot ofc binded into your swIfTY oNESHOt mACRO where you dump every single ability not on the GCD at the same time.

This post is pointless n just reading this makes me hope they nerf MM into unplayability n never reworks it. I´ll embrace the current BM pandemic we´re currently having instead.

Mm still has oneshot potential. We should not be oneshotting plate in the first place. The problem is we can’t kill plates at all to begin with and when there’s two of them we can’t just outdps them or do most damage because of all the micro cc.
As for oneshot - can we talk about the fact that Sniper shot hits arms warriors for 170k, but disco priests for 400k? Back to square one, as I said, we need armor pen and redesign. MM damage is fine, the rest is broken. Also, our crippled parody of a tierset gives us the possibility to randomly (4x3 %) proc a 10-tick Rapid Fire right after Sniper shot from stealth, and that rapid fire has a 25 % chance to proc Deathblow-buffed Killshot. If you pair this with Death Chakram after Sniper Shot, you have a recipe for oneshot on most specs. Hell, if you want a guaranteed Killshot buff, just pre-Volley in stealth and proc it manually. And while you’re at it, you can pre-Trueshot in stealth and wait for 10 stacks of Unerring Vision for some extra crunch. Oh, and don’t forget Hunter’s Mark adds 5 % damage on opener now. If you wanna oneshot, get a healer that knows how to press a stun when you ask for it and do this, and you will oneshot almost anything. Hell, in a disc priest meta, you can play triple MM in 3s and 100-0 a disc with Sniper Shot from stealth without counterplay. Just wait for them to nerf dh a bit more first so that they’re not everywhere and can’t get you out of stealth, although you can stop sight with pet and feigning into stealth afterwards, it’s just tedious.

What do you think about our talent consecutive concussion that stun after firing 3 steady shots? It should have been 2 steady shots to have synergy with our Steady Focus talent (8% haste increase after firing 2 steady shots). 3 steady shots is a bit too much.

I have been thinking of taking this concussion instead of trueshot mastery (pvp talents)
and then just drop intim stun because its such a long cd on short stun and replace it with explosive trap as it has okay cd 35 sec. (both are in same talent node)

In that way I have 2x explosive traps in 1 min instead of intim garbage, which makes it improve against melees. And also a concussion stun I can apply for a full duration 3x times in 1 min. (18sec stun reset)

I think its a win-win.

Consecutive concussion shouldn’t even be a pvp talent to begin with. It should be cooked into Steady Focus in a way that makes the 3rd repetition cast 50 % faster. Nobody in PvE can make use of it anyway, but the utility MM has even in world content is mediocre at best, and this would help it. I used to play that talent in shadowlands, nowadays I play Diamond Ice instead. I don’t play Trueshot Mastery, because I’m lazy, I just always play Sniper, feign, Dia. What they could do to enforce petless gameplay is instead of Consecutive Concussion giving us a Thorium Grenade PvP talent, which would be a cast-less 4 second Trap-type stun on 1 minute CD that would replace Intimidation when equipped.
And while we’re at the alterations, they should remake Sniper Shot entirely into something like this:

Sniper Shot (PvP Talent)

  • replaces Aimed Shot
  • +0.5 casttime
  • Trueshot-modified, 2 charges
  • 20 or 25 % flat damage into anything always (bypasses armor, doesn’t scale with mastery/versa/agility, only % abilities)
  • applies range buff
  • applies X armor pen debuff (strength debatable)
  • armor pen buff stacks to 2 if you get both charges off while it lasts
  • not influenced by Careful Aim

And balance the spec around that entirely, e.g. take away Rapid Fire modifiers to make it weaker and enforce more casting etc.

Alternatively, what they could do is creating a PvP modifier talent like Warriors have, something like:

Relentless Soloist (PvP Talent)

  • Lone Wolf increased to 20 %
  • 2 charges of Disengage
  • summoning pet NOT POSSIBLE ( no freedom, no sac, no tenacity emblem)
  • Thorium Grenade as mentioned above (replaces Intimidation)
    OR
  • Consecutive Concussion cooked into Steady Focus as mentioned above and make Thorium Grenade a separate PvP talent (but that wouldn’t make much sense because this talent is supposed to specifically target the fact that MM relies on pet)

And again, balance abilities in PvP around that, NOT leave it as they are, because that would make MM overpowered, obviously.

Average people should understand something. Rational people don’t care your damage screenshots, personal complaints/opinions or rework fantasies. They look at stats to see current state of a spec.

And stats tell us:

Above 2.2k SS (EU+US), MM is 18th dps spec in terms of representation.

Above 1.8k SS, MM is 22th dps spec in terms of average dps.

Above 1.8k SS, MM is 16th dps spec in terms of burst dps.

If damage is lower than others, increase it.
If defensives are weak than others, fix it.

I’m not a sheep, I agree with them, I play it, I see it, I know it needs fixing, because it’s stupid. Especially because there’s a 230k discrepancy based on armor out of all things. That’s a 60 % leeway depending on who you cast it on.
