As for pre-patch gear from vendors, you have to purchase it on each alt individually rather than buying it on one character and placing it in the warband bank. With currency transfers currently disabled, this means farming Residual Memories on every alt, which isn’t very alt-friendly, despite the expansion’s theme.

Incorrect. I fully geared my hunter by playing my druid on pre-patch. Bought an entire characters worth of gear chucked it into the warbank and my hunter was fully geared up and ready to go without even doing any of the pre-patch event. Did you not click the button on the vendor to show all gear not just the gear your char can use?

Yes, my previous statement was incorrect. Before they resolved the currency transfer issue, it was possible to buy items from the vendor and mail them to your alts.

That’s exactly what I was doing, except for buying from the vendor, as I was farming Residual Memories and getting gear along the way until they disabled currency transfers. Since I’ve already geared all my retail characters during the pre-patch, I’m using a spreadsheet I found in a comment on WoWhead and tweaked it to track the gearing process for my remix characters.

Nothing stoped them from making that Account bound either, they just choose to do it.

This pre-expansion is turning into a bit of a fiasco tbh. At least I judge it this way having played pre-expansion patches since Cata.Even if you ignore the gold rewards and start aiming to do the event,its both bland and many of its items are hidden behind a horrible RNG. What are they thinking?!?

Can’t be too bad, I got a 489 ilvl drop randomly while killing stuff in ZC during a world quest today.

I will say this, if you’re struggling for gold right now its on you and not Blizzard to solve that. We all know the reduction in rewards in DF zones is prep for the release of the expansion.

I can agree with this, my Superbloom cloth set was only completed 2 weeks ago after religiously doing it each week since the Emerald Dream zone was accessible.
