I got in the shower the other week, looked up and there was a lovely spider. I just carried on as usual.
The only time I freaked out was when I grabbed some toilet paper and a huge one was sat on it!

If you collect stuff that has fine art on boxes or books then make sure you cover them in tissue before you store cus spiders foul the paper with tiny black and silver dots and leave a pink residue which destroys paper and cardboard. They can also get into electronics and create areas of differing potential and heat paths and cause failures, particularly to old monitors with tubes.
To control spiders just stop them getting in and get yourself a duster on a stick and go round regularly and keep the webs down.
When I find one I always trap it and take it outside.
We have a most wonderful insect down here in the forest which frightens any new person to the village that leave their windows open during the summer and that is the stag beetle.
Anyway I renamed Strider the spider in the latest expansion to ‘Sticks’. He doesn’t seem to mind.

Myself scary poison spiders in RL. Since I dont want get bite me.

Phobias are not rational by definition you know.
I do not suffer from it myself but that spider quest in the cave with the moma spider on the roof almost set me of, can see why they added this mode
That raises the question - did you wake up because you needed water or because it’d already skittered across you by that point? 
I wasn’t actually asleep, winddown phone scrolling or something, so I know it hadn’t done that haha. But now I’ll always have the spider in my head while trying to sleep at night. 
Funny thing is, I’m not even actually scared of spiders, I can’t even bring myself to kill them, I just put them outside (except those which I suspect are false widow spiders, they die unfortunately) 
The thing is, spiders seem to be reeeeally attracted to my house and seeing them so often does kind of make my skin begin to crawl.
Other spider stories from my house aka Spider Island in the last few months include:
- Big fluffy spider running across my foot while sitting at dinner table and then running to hide behind the cooker.
- Big spider dangling from ceiling in front of us at the table, dropping onto the oblivious dog who then gets up and steps on it.
- Walking across the hallway at night and treading on something only to realise I’ve trodden on 2 of a massive spider’s legs, tearing them off in the process while the poor thing tries to run away,
- Sorting out a basket of washing and while shaking out a sheet, a massive spider runs out, and in its terror attempting to escape, it runs up my dress towards my neck.
- Watching tv and a big ole spider casually strolls across the floor in front of us.
- Reading or phone scrolling in bed at night and look up and see a big boi watching me from the opposite wall.
- Hanging up washing to dry and a big spider comes out from underneath the drying rack to see what tf is going on.
Yeah I’ve got spider spray.

There is an exception though, if they step on me/near me, I will one shot them. Literally.
Think of the spider babies ! Those need their mother !
I’m sorry for the babies but if they get too close my Adrenaline Rush will auto-trigger and I will cast a full combo point Kidney Shot.

Its ok… I will mass ress them all… eventually you will get tired… 
I didn’t know the setting changed existing mounts, that’s a great feature. I am also an arachnophobe, but fortunately for me in game it doesn’t bother me, maybe because I know they are not real and can’t crawl out of my screen. But the sight of even a tiny spider in my house is enough to send me into panic mode

I was staying with a friend in Tasmania once and had to check my shoes before putting them on and my bed before getting in it.
Theyd had them previously and whilst they were pretty sure they were gone, their bite is necrotic so always worth checking!
