But the ppl who complained about TWW and all the spiders, thank you!
Now I have my dreamed mount!
I farmed Naz`jatar for months and then quit.
But in TWW I got my orange crab mount without any effort <3
Just click “Arachnophobia Mode” in General Accessibility settings.
It turned my “Vicious War Spider” into a crab.
And its 2 times bigger thant the Trading Post blue crab.
Weird but… Im so scared of spiders that I cant go to the toilet or sleep in the same room with a spider hanging in the room, but my fav meal is crabs
I eat crabs and shrimps.
Crabs are something like tarantula…
Last night, I got out of bed to get water or something, and just happened to turn back around, and out of the corner of my eye, I noticed an enormous spider scuttling across my pillow.
I used to have arachnophobia but decades of fighting spiders desensitized me. Then I started watching youtube videos of people feeding/rehousing/whathaveyou their tarantula’s and now I’m at a point where I am not afraid of spiders anymore. Heck, I’d -love- to get a couple jumping spiders and make them the cutest terrains! (I can’t or my mother would never ever visit me again lolol).
There’s also several tarantula species that are just super dope looking like the electric blue one. Anyway, I’m glad they introduced something like this but on the contrary, having people face what they fear is not the wrong thing to do either. It certainly helped me!
Im big and tall and other ppl are scared of me cuz I looks like Slenderman IRL, but if I see a small house spider with long legs… Im dying! Im scared to kill it. I go to toilet in a bottles and plastic bags. Even if I have a broom and other tools to kill it… I just cant. If I miss the thing will go under my bed or somewhere where I cant find it after my first attack and then I cant sleep 3 days to think where this spider is hiding
Need a RL filter to make spiders into crabs. Then I`ll eat them.
The work they do on insect populations like Mosquitoes, Flies, Fleas and Ticks is amazing. And spiders don’t bite, but they also don’t spread diseases. Unlike the ~2000 pests they eat in their lifetime.
If you have spiders in your house it means there is food for them. If you kill them or shuu them out, guess who will be sucking your blood while you sleep ?
Spiders are nice. Spiders are great. Spiders prevent Malaria and Lime Disease… Spiders are Heroes.
Its not fair that there is a thing called Arachnofobia. But Moskitofobia is not a thing, even though there were 250 MILLION malaria cases last year… (not to mention the work other insects do)…
In my house, Spiders are guests. If I see one, it stays where it is. Nobody is allowed to disturb them. And I sleep with however many spiders are there… they got my back and haven’t been bitten by a mosquito in my house in years… any bug that threatens my family dosent make it past the window…
I realize spiders eat the other insects but also I found some thing that eats spiders. Google “Common house gecko”. I have a whole family of these on my walls in my village house. I was scared of them first, but now I feel protected and safe when I see lizard on my walls with a few lil “kids”
I prefer lizards than spiders. No more spiders in my village old house since there are lizards lurking around. They dont attack humans, I guess (I hope). They look cute too.
I love reading those magazines with all kinds of interesting topics in them to learn new stuff. I just recently read there’s more than a million spiders in one hectar of grassland. That’s an astounding number and if that number would dwindle we’d be suffocated by insects.
I have these small spiders in my home that are common in germany, I just make sure the number doesn’t go up to insane levels. It’s insane how much gets trapped in their little nets. They’re super helpful. Back in the day I would have burned my apartment down but now I appreciate them being there and getting rid of the other creepy crawlies in my home. They do it for free, too!
The only time I got peeved was when one left an eggsac under a plate I left to dry. Nope, do not want a thousand baby spiders so that one had to go.
If you live in an area (I don’t) where you got extra pest predators, even better. Especially because Geckos live in the south of EU. And in those areas, you got the invasive Tiger Moskito, and some of those areas used to be Malaria zones.
So spiders are still heroes. And Geckos too. Anything that eats the real enemy here : pests…
They auto regulate. Spiders aren’t stupid… they are where the food is. If you got crazy numbers of spiders its because there is crazy numbers of food for them.
Dont regulate anything.
Next time put it under the couch and let them hatch there. They will live out of sight in the couch and eat all the microscopic mites that bite you while you post on the forums. Bigger spiders (adults) are too big to eat them.
And if there are too many baby spiders and not enough food to go around, 80% chance that its a species that cannibalize themselves. So they will, on their own, deal with overpopulation.
I dont get how a spider lurking on the corner of my room eat mosquitos? They fly all around my room and attack me cuz they are attracted to the carbon dioxide you exale.
Maybe they eat the mosquitos, but I dont see any of that I think the “long-legs” spiders are just there to scares me all day long. Im talking about “cellar spiders”(thats how I found them in google). Long legs and they stay still all day long and when I wake up they moved from one place to another… thats scary. They do their job at night, I guess.
There are a ton of species. But none of them bite you. None of them spread diseases. All of them are predators.
I am not an expert. So I don’t discriminate by species. Those “cellar spiders” must eat something if they are there. And if you remove them, then that “something” will be there… And if those spiders are fat and big… its because they ate their fill of “something” to get that fat and chubby…
I just want to defend spiders for once. They deserve some love too…
“Scutigera coleoptrata” - look at this. My parents are from different zones and when I go to my northern village, I sleep with lights up and wake up every 20 mins to watch for these on the walls. They crawl faster than my eyes can follow them.
I killed tons of them with hard books and throwing on the walls at them.
But after so many years I get used to them after I read some stuff about them, as you said.
They eat other insects and they are not harmfull for humans.
Spiders are not harmful for us too but I think if I get a spider on my skin I`ll get a hearth-attack and die.
I will consider the insects more friendly from now on I`ll let them do their bussines. They are not in the room for me. THey are predators and they eat the other things.
